1) What a mighty God we serve, the King of kings and LORD of lords, Christ Jesus!

Many of you know that Pr Daniel was interviewed by Derryn Hinch of 3AW Radio on 10th March 2010. Well, all glory to God that one week later the podcast and photo of Pr Daniel are still on the front page of the 3AW website under the caption ‘God does work in mysterious ways.’  80-90% of the comments have been very positive in support of Pr Daniel and his uncompromising stand for Christ and the advance of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.  Many people are actually discussing the Bible as many Christians are quoting scriptures and sharing the love and truth of Jesus on the website!

Most amazingly 3AW confirmed that their website has approximately 2,000,000 hits a month. Additionally, the personal website of Derryn Hinch had 4,200,000 hits over the last 12 months. In total that’s around 75,000 – 80,000 hits a day. Glory to God! Just imagine the number of lost souls (non-Christians) who are receiving the incredible opportunity to hear about Jesus and the Word of God on the secular radio station, especially the interview conducted by an Atheist broadcaster. God does work certainly in mysterious ways!

Congratulations and well done to all those Christians who took the time to stand up for their faith in Jesus in defence of the Word of God and the man of God.

Former Archbishop of Canterbury Lord Carey today accused politicians of trying to bully Christianity out of public life.

He complained of a ’strident and bullying campaign’ to marginalise Christianity in the name of political correctness.

Lord Carey said: ‘We have reached the point where politicians are mocked for merely expressing their faith.

‘I cannot imagine any politician expressing concern that Britain should remain a Christian country. That reticence is a scandal and a disgrace to our history.’

The powerful intervention from the retired Archbishop, who stepped down from Lambeth Palace in 2002, comes in the wake of strongly-expressed criticism of state attempts to sideline Christianity from other senior prelates.

Last month Archbishop of York Dr John Sentamu said that Christianity was being pushed out of public life in a ‘ferocious and insidious’ manner.

Lord Carey has spoken out strongly on a number of controversial matters since his retirement in a way he avoided while serving as the Anglican primate. In particular, he has backed limits to immigration, criticised Islamic theology, and attacked the ‘anything goes’ philosophy that has led judges to constrain public debate about the bad behaviour of celebrities for the sake of their privacy.

He told a meeting in the House of Lords: ‘Christianity, which has given so much to our country, is now being sidelined as never before as though it is a stranger to our nation.’

Lord Carey told Christians to stand up for their faith and to be more assertive when their heritage is attacked.

‘If we behave like doormats, don’t be surprised if we are treated as though we are,’ he said. ‘It is time to return to the public square.’

Lord Carey echoed Dr Sentamu’s concerns that the rights of Christian schools to teach the basis of their faith is being stripped away.

‘This bullying campaign seeks to ban faith schools, despite evidence that faith schools perform better than many others.’
 
He added: ‘It is clear that we must stand up against the marginalising of faith.

‘We must constantly remind society of its Christian roots and heritage.’

Lord Carey was addressing a conference run by the Christian Broadcasting Council which highlighted cases of individuals picked on for their Christian faith.

They included teacher Olive Jones who lost her job last year after offering to pray for a 14-year-old cancer patient with whom she was working, and Caroline Petrie, a Somerset nurse suspended for offering to pray for a patient but then reinstated by NHS bosses following a public outcry.

Speakers also cited Gary McFarlane, a Relate counsellor who lost his job after he declined to offer sex therapy to a gay couple.

Olave Snelling, chairman of the Christian Broadcasting Council, said: ‘We have the duty of telling the stories of those suffering persecution for their faith overseas and now, it seems, in Great Britain also.

‘Pressure is building against Christians in what was once a Christian land.’

Dear family & friends in Christ in Australia and around the World,

The following testimony is very exciting but very challenging. I wish to warn you that some things you read could be very disturbing, to the point that I had to call the Police. I will try my best to make it as brief as possible, although it’s quite a long testimony, but well worth the time to read.

With great joy and yet with much concern we are releasing the exciting news that a descendant of an infamous worldwide satanic leader surrendered her life to Jesus on 20th November 2009 at the CTFM meeting in Melbourne (Hallam) as a direct result of the Spiritual Warfare Prayer Assignment on Mount Ainslie in Canberra, the capital city of Australia. This is the second extraordinary salvation of a Satanist coming to the Lord as a result of ‘Taking the High Places for Jesus’ through Spiritual Warfare Prayer on Mount Ainslie and 30 or so additional high places across Australia.

On 13th Nov 2009 at our regular CTFM meeting I noticed a young woman seated at the last row of seats in the church. She looked very rough, with bandages and plasters on her hand and face. She sat through the whole meeting and came up to challenge me at the end, but as I reached out to her she shouted, “Stay away from me, don’t come close to me as there is a glow covering you.” I told her to sit down along with a another lady on my ministry team and we started talking to her.  We had to sit 2-3 seats away from her because when we got close to her many demonic spirits started manifesting. Since it was already past 11pm at night, I did not want to get into a full-on battle of casting out demons and ministering deliverance to her at that time of night. However, she started to say something but could not say it. Rather some of the demonic spirits in her said, “What is it about you people, you are not scared of us. You have sent shockwaves throughout the satanic cults in Australia by going to Mount Ainslie. That’s why I am here. You people have guts. They don’t know what to do with you Pastor Danny.” Then I asked her as to what happened to her face as there were fresh burn wounds and also why some of her fingers were missing. She then said that her fingers were cut off by the satanic cult over the past several years and that on 31 Oct 2009 on Halloween she was tied to a cross and burned with a blow torch in Victoria.  After sharing this absolutely shocking information with us, she wanted to leave and said, “They will punish me tonight for not carrying out the assignment.”

3 days later I found out that she was abducted that Friday night and stabbed several times by the satanic cult. On Friday the 20th of Nov 2009 she was scheduled to come to CTFM for prayer at around 7pm. That same day I got an email from one of the satanic cult members, warning me to back off from ministering to this young woman as she was their property and had to fulfil the prophecy on her life. They also told me that she was going to be attacked because she was coming to CTFM for prayer that night.

Later that evening (20th Nov 2009) she came to the CTFM base with her t-shirt soaked in blood and major cuts all over her face and neck. I asked her whether she wanted us to take her to the hospital for immediate medical attention, but she refused. We started praying for her and many demonic spirits started leaving as she surrendered her life to Jesus. As she accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Saviour, all hell broke loose in the room where we were praying for her. I needed 4 men and one lady to hold her down as many demonic spirits were manifesting very violently.

As I commanded the demonic spirits in the name of Jesus, they confessed of a physical address where many children were held for satanic ritualistic abuse. At this point the young woman confirmed that many young children were physically and sexually abused on Halloween. Up to 8 children from the age of 6-14 were tied on crosses and burned with a blowtorch. At this point I told my ministry team to continue praying for her as I left the room to call 000 and gave them all the information. To my surprise when I spoke to the police, they told me that they were sending a unit immediately to the address and a second unit to the CTFM base in Hallam. When the police arrived, the young woman just cracked it with them, although they came to escort her to the hospital for the urgent medical attention that she needed.  As she violently protested with the police, they handcuffed her and took her to hospital. This young woman was furious with me for calling the police, although it was all for her own good and safety.

I went back into the prayer room with my ministry team and started crying, as I felt that I had let her down. However, the other team members encouraged me that it was my duty to do what I did due to the seriousness of this issue. For a moment I thought that I would possibly never see her again, but praise God that this young woman has been in constant touch with us and has experienced around 10 sessions of powerful deliverance over the past 4 months.

Over my 20 plus years of serving the Lord in many nations across the world, I have cast out many demonic spirits from many people, but I have never ever dealt with any one so demon possessed. She told us that one of her ancestors was an infamous worldwide satanic leader and had personally prophesied over her that she would become one of the main satanic cult leaders in this generation. On several occasions over the last few months, the satanic cult has abducted her and tortured her very badly. On other occasions the many different personalities in this young woman, controlled by many different demonic spirits, have caused harm to her own body.

I personally have received many threats through emails and text messages. Jason helped me to compile a file with all the information and we hand it over to the police. Unfortunately, I have not heard anything further from them at all.

I once read a testimony of a former high priestess in Satanism who said that when a child is small and dedicated to the cult by the parents, the child is shown a book with pictures of Jesus.  Then a member of the cult dresses up like Jesus and severely abuses the child to the point that the child starts to hate Jesus, as Satan knows that Jesus is the only way out of darkness into light, from death to life, from the kingdom of hell to the Kingdom of Heaven.  So the satanic cult brainwashes and programs the child to grow up hating Jesus.

This young woman told us that she was dedicated to the satanic cult when she was only six years old. At this ceremony she was sexually and physically abused terribly and there were some people who looked like police officers who were part of the abusers.  Therefore she has grown up to not trust the police and to actually hate them.

As I was prayerfully seeking the Lord for insight, He showed me that the people who abused her were not real police, but actually members of the satanic cult dressed in police uniforms in impersonation, so that these children grow up hating the real police and will therefore not go to them with any complaints throughout the course of their lives. I have heard that there are people in high places of social influence and authority who are involved with these satanic cults, but I have not personally found any proof and am unable to make a judgment.

One morning at 6.30am I had a call from this young woman who said, “Pastor, I spent the night in the car park at Catch the Fire in Hallam.” I was a bit surprised and worried.  She said the satanic cult was coming to get her the night before.  She said that she had a prompting in her heart that the CTFM car park is a safe place, so she drove her car there and locked herself in the car while listening to Christian music all through the night.

She said, “Suddenly, I saw the satanic cult members come and park their car outside the car park on the road in front of the church. I could not believe what happened next. I actually thought ‘I am gone’ and they will get me now. But Pastor I was shocked, as they tried to walk into the car park, they could not enter. It seemed like a big wall was blocking them. They tried for 4 hours and then left at daybreak.”

Well, glory to God our car park does not have a physical fence or gate. This had to be God’s supernatural protection in the Holy Spirit. What a mighty God we serve.

I just recently received a text message from this young woman asking us to pray for her and for some of the children who have escaped the satanic cult and are hiding at her place, especially during this time as the upcoming Easter season is a very high activity time for the satanic cults.  On Good Friday they carry out satanic rituals. This young woman is very worried that she and the children might be targeted.  Please fast and pray that the devil’s plans will be brought to nothing as our Most High God arises to scatter His enemies.  Please pray that this young woman and the children with her will be safe.

All I can say is that we the Church, as Bible-practicing and God-fearing Christians, need to wake up to reality that there is a real world out there and people are crying out for help. I have heard many Christians say that once you are born-again, you cannot have demonic spirits still in your body. Well, this is not the truth as I and many others have come across many born-again Christians, who still need much deliverance from demonic spirits in their  body.

Before I met this young woman, she went to a very large well known Pentecostal church, and the Senior Pastor told her to stop coming to his church as she must not be meant to become a Christian. I was absolutely shocked as there is no one beyond the redeeming blood, power, and victory of the Cross of Jesus.

We need to get back on our knees and cry out for the Lord Jesus to baptise us afresh with His Holy Ghost Fire so we will rise up in His Victory over the flesh, the world, and the devil. Unfortunately, we take the easy way out and have stopped casting out demonic spirits and praying for the sick to be healed in the mighty name of Jesus, while satan and his demonic hordes are having a good laugh at us. (Mark 16:15-18)

This young woman also told us that some churches are good recruiting grounds for members to join the satanic cults. She also said that some Pastors attend their rituals. In fact I got many emails from members of the satanic cult, such as “We know that you too will soon bow down to us just like the rest of the church in Melbourne, so why don’t you join us. We can help you get real power.”

I responded to them by email and said, “Jesus died and rose again. He conquered death, hell and the grave. Satan, you were defeated 2000 years ago. Let me tell you that I come in the name of Jesus, so you better get ready to bow down to Jesus the King of kings and the Lord of lords.” I have had many email exchanges with satanic cult members and thank God for the amazing opportunities He has given me to share the love of Jesus with boldness and guts. I praise the Lord of the harvest that many witches, warlocks, satanists, etc. are regularly checking CTFM website and even posting many of our emails on their websites. All Glory to God as Jesus loves every single one of them, dying and rising from the dead, to save everyone who believes in their heart and confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord.

Both former satanists who came to the Lord Jesus Christ in the last few months said, “We were made to believe when we were in the cult that satan had more power than Jesus, because Christians had never challenged us before. In fact they were scared of us, but now we know that Jesus is definitely more powerful than satan.”

There is so much more that this young woman has confessed to us over the last 4 months and at least 55 minutes of it is recorded on DVD.  Unfortunately, due to the sensitivity, confidentiality, and safety of this young woman, I cannot share with you all the information. Please pray that God will give us the wisdom as to what to do next, as there is much more to be done to see this young woman completely set free.

I pray that this issue will get exposed and that the Australian Government will investigate and crackdown on these satanic cults, like what is currently happening with the Church of Scientology.

LONDON – The U.K.-based Bible Society has reported a growing demand for copies of the Bible in China where an estimated 500,000 people convert to Christianity every year.

Although some four million Bibles were printed and distributed across China last year, the rapid growth of the church year on year means that demand for Bibles is now outstripping supply, according to the Bible Society.

The official number of Christians in China stands at 28.6 million, but it is believed the true figure could be as high as 90 million if the estimated number of worshippers at unofficial house churches is included.  

The Bibles are printed at Amity Printing Company, the only government-approved Bible printing press in China. It has printed around 70 million Bibles since it was established in 1987. Around 50 million of them have gone to Chinese believers.

Religious freedom group China Aid Association has kept a critical eye on the publisher. The group has claimed that the company has made availability and accessibility of the Bible difficult for the growing Christian population.

The distribution of the Bibles has been limited to government sanctioned Three Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) bookstores and distribution points, making it difficult for Christians who live in rural areas to access them. Cost has also been an issue, as most churchgoers in China live in poverty.

To deflect the cost, the Bible Society subsidizes the cost of printing Bibles. Keeping the price low is vital for Christians living in China’s rural heartland, where 70 percent of churchgoers are found and half the population live on less than $2 a day.

“As more and more people are joining the church they are asking for a Bible,” said Bible Society’s China Partnership coordinator Kua Wee Seng.

“Every year we have to raise funds for Bible subsidy. The reason is that in the rural areas where most Christians are found, they are living in relatively poor conditions. In order for them to have a copy of the Bible we have to provide paper so that a Bible is affordable for most of the Christians in China.

“This is a time of opportunity in China. Many of us feel that we mustn’t miss this opportunity or people will turn to something else, other than Christianity.”

It’s hard to call for an end to the culture wars when your own side is manning the barricades. President Obama is big on civility. He talks a very good game. But his nominee for a top slot at the Department of Justice–Dawn Johnsen–is a leading exponent of incivility. Johnsen worked with the ACLU for years. And she joined ARM–the so-called Abortion Rights Mobilization–to strip the Catholic Church of its tax-exempt status because of its pro-life advocacy. The Catholic Church eventually won that case–but not until it had spent years and millions of dollars defending itself. The Catholic Church was just the biggest ARM target. If they had succeeded against the Catholics, they surely would have come after the Southern Baptist Convention, the National Association of Evangelicals, and The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod.

If Mr. Obama is serious about civility he needs to withdraw Dawn Johnsen’s nomination. If she is confirmed, we will see a radical anti-Catholic, pro-abortion zealot influencing policy thoughout the Justice Department—but also policy throughout the entire federal government.

What we are witnessing right now is an anti-Christian programmatic pogrom. What is a “pogrom” it’s the word that describes anti-Jewish raids by Cossacks and others in czarist Russia, but a programmatic pogrom best describes what is happening right now. These are not isolated attacks. And while we no longer have Cossacks to threaten, we now have left-wing bloggers who actually call themselves Kossacks (after the Daily Kos).In North Carolina, the Catholic college Belmont Abbey, is threatened with closure for its refusal to dispense contraceptives. Radicals are not impressed with the college president’s response: We don’t give contraceptives to female staffers–or to the monks! In this case, the local branch of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission smells discrimination.

In Washington, President Obama’s nominee to the federal EEOC, Prof. Chai Feldblum of Georgetown University, is blunt: If there’s a clash between the gay agenda and religious liberty, your liberties lose. If confirmed, she would be in position to pursue the pogrom nationwide.

On the West Coast, the Christian Legal Society (CLS) is under assault from the Hastings Law Center of the University of California. The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear Christian Legal Society v. Martinez this term. Radicals are trying to force CLS to accept officers who are openly homosexual. David French, speaking for the pro-family Alliance Defense Fund, says:

“The Left is trying to create a right that destroys a right. As of now, there is simply no widely recognized right of private citizens to join any private expressive association they want to join — regardless of their belief or conduct. In fact, even in the campus environment, only the courts of the Ninth Circuit have forcibly opened private associations to non-adherents.”

Creating rights to destroy rights. That sums it up well. The Supreme Court has already spoken to the issues raised in this case. In Boston, gay activists demanded to be included in the city’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. But the parade was organized and run by an Irish veterans’ group that did not want its message hijacked by homosexuals. In 1995, the Supreme Court slapped down their claim 9-0.

The Supreme Court also recognized the right of association of the Boy Scouts. The Court ruled in 2000 that James Dale could not force the Scouts to keep him as a Scout leader after he had declared his homosexuality.

All of these cases put great financial burdens on churches and private colleges and voluntary organizations like the Scouts and the Christian Legal Society. The threat of lawsuits by well-funded, media-backed Leftist activists forces too many groups to cave in to pressure. And all our rights suffer as a result.

President Obama is forever “reaching out” to Christian groups. He is happy to breakfast with Christians and defend himself from charges that he is a Muslim or a non-citizen. But when it comes actually to protecting the rights of Christians and Jews, where is his administration?

It’s hard to call for an end to the culture wars when your own side is manning the barricades. So far, Mr. Obama’s eloquent words are not matched by deeds. They remind me of the beefy Chicago Alderman who was told he needed to lose weight. He took up jogging. But he soon quit that, complaining that when you jog, “there’s nobody to knock down.” Is Mr. Obama’s idea of amity and concord one where we are all knocked down?

My ministry team and I are praying for a ‘Damascus road salvation experience’ for him, also like the former Satanist on Mount Ainslie in Canberra who surrendered his life to Jesus.  Derryn could very well be another Saul, who became Paul. When you listen to this broadcast, please do not get mad with him, but pray for him.

Yes, at times the interview was very heated, but I thank God that He has given me broad shoulders to cop the flak.  According to the Bible in Matthew 5:11-10, the Sermon on the Mount from Jesus, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteous, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.” I thank the Father in heaven for giving me the right spirit to love the person who persecutes me while at the same time speaking out the truth with boldness. I am sure you will love this interview Ha! ha!”

Sid Roth, founder of Georgia-based Messianic Vision and host of the It’s Supernatural television broadcast, said he has seen dozens of Jewish Americans profess faith in Christ in recent months during evangelistic events in New York and California.

Last summer in Brighton Beach, N.Y., nearly 400 Russian Jews reportedly attended an evangelistic meeting billed as a lecture on the paranormal. People were healed, Roth said, including a wheelchair-bound woman who had not been able to walk for five years.

“There was just a move of God’s Spirit, and almost the entire group stood up to make public professions of Messiah,” Roth told Charisma.

Later, at a similar meeting in California, roughly 30 Jews professed faith in Christ. “In my opinion this is unprecedented in America,” said Roth, who has ministered among Jewish communities in the Soviet Union for more than 15 years. “I’ve been in Jewish ministry over 35 years, and I’ve never heard of anything like this before.”

During a trip to Israel last year, he said roughly 50 elderly Holocaust survivors professed faith in Christ during two meetings he led there. “Again, by Israeli standards, this is an unprecedented thing,” Roth said.
He believes the meetings mark a “change in the atmosphere” of Jewish evangelism. “I took those two meetings as signs that blindness was coming off the eyes of the Jewish people,” he said.

Because of his conviction, he launched a campaign late last year to mail copies of his book They Thought for Themselves to 1 million Jewish homes across the U.S. The book features the testimonies of 10 Jewish believers in Jesus, including former Brownsville revival leader Michael L. Brown and Messianic worship leader Batya Segal.

Since it was first published in 1996, the book has been translated into eight languages, and more than 600,000 copies have been distributed in the Soviet Union alone.

“Sure, a lot of [the books] will be torn up without even being read,” Roth said of the mailing campaign, “but the ones God is dealing with, they’re going to read this and they’re going to come to the Lord.”
He believes evangelizing the Jewish people carries prophetic significance.

“From a spiritual viewpoint, it’s going to cause an explosion,” he said. “Or I like the way Paul says it [in Romans 11:12], if it was a blessing when Jewish people rejected their Messiah, how much greater blessing when they receive their Messiah. It’ll be life from the dead, resurrection power. I think it’s going to release a resurrection power and miracle-working power in the church like we haven’t seen in our lifetime.”

Messianic Vision launched a Project 77 campaign to raise money for the evangelistic mailing. It asks for $77 donations to mail seven books to Jewish families. So far, Messianic Vision has raised enough money to mail 82,000 copies of the book, and someone recently made an anonymous $100,000 donation. Roth said after the first million copies are mailed, he hopes to begin mailing another million.

He said bringing together Jews and gentiles as believers in Jesus would create the one new man Paul describes in Ephesians 2 and lead to the greatest revival the world has ever seen. 

“Paul says the reason Jesus came was to break down the middle wall of separation between Jew and gentile [and] to form a new species of being that will be the dwelling place of God,” Roth said. “Well, I feel the church is incomplete without Jewish believers, and the church is incomplete without gentile believers. Each brings a special spiritual DNA to the table to make the complete dwelling place for God.

“When the family of David is restored, or the Jewish people, [Amos 9] describes the greatest gentile revival the world has ever seen,” he added. “So I see these Jewish people coming to the Lord, entering the church [and] forming the one new man to catapult the greatest gentile revival in history worldwide. That’s my vision. That’s what I believe.”

Despite warnings to the contrary, another ‘Black Saturday’ was averted through prayer and fasting, with the cooler temperatures across Victoria signalling divine restoration in that state.

Catch the Fire Ministries (CTFM) president, Pastor Daniel Nalliah said following the backlash against him for stating that the bushfires signalled God had removed His protection over the state, linked to Melbourne’s abortion laws, the ‘global cooling’ this past month showed divine protection has been restored in Victoria.

Pastor Nalliah pointed out that we have just finished the summer season 2010 with no major incidents of bushfires at all. Was this because of the State Government’s fire plan or was it because of a supernatural act of God?

“Contrary to grave predictions by the Weather Bureau and the State Government of an increase in deadly bushfires, this past Summer gone has been nothing short of a spectacular miracle!,” Pastor Daniel said.

“So when the Weather Bureau and the State Government warned everyone about the bushfire threat, were they lying like those who spooked the nations with the Global Warming Myth??  It seems now that there is Global Cooling!,” he said.

“Well, we thank and praise God that this bushfire season has been one of the mildest in many years and literally no lives were lost. God’s merciful love in restoring His divine protection over the state of Victoria and across Australia has been in response to the corporate repentance, fasting, and prayers of His Church according to the Bible in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14.”

“The Sunday Age recently had an article entitled, “Victoria spared the summer that could have been hell” http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/victoria-spared-the-summer-that-could-have-been-hell-20100227-pa9e.html. It was very interesting that there were no mention of all the prayers that have been going up to spare the state from bushfires,” he said.

“The truth is that Australia had more rain during summer than possibly any other season, in fact, so much rainfall during summer that water restrictions were eased in some states. The nation experienced record breaking rainfall, as stated on many media outlets.

“I hope that at least now the pundits, sceptics, and others will acknowledge that there is a righteous God in heaven above who looks down upon us on the earth. As the Lord God Almighty said in His Word the Bible in 2 Chronicles 7:13-14, “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

In October 2009, CTFM with Christians from many churches and denominations, dared to pray for Australia on Mount Ainslie in Canberra as well as around 30 other mountain tops, in addition to many churches, homes and parks.

“We had much opposition, but we took our stand, fasting and crying unto God in repentance prayer in the city where the seat of Government is, to protect our nation from predicted bushfires and other potential disasters,” Pastor Nalliah said.
 
Back in October 2009 Australian Media personality Derryn Hinch from 3AW Radio in Victoria, challenged Pastor Daniel and his faith in God by saying, “Let’s see whether your God can stop the bushfires.”  Pastor Daniel responded, “We are praying to God that the bushfire season in 2010 will be very mild and that there will be no lives lost.”  “I wonder what Derryn Hinch has to say now?”, Pastor Nalliah asked.

“So, will the Church, the Government, the Media, and the Nation acknowledge God’s Fire Plan, or will they continue to turn their back on God and see His hand of protection removed once again? We all know that September 11 2001 in the USA, the Boxing Day 2004 Tsunami in Asia, Earthquakes in Haiti & Chile ,and many other such disasters have brought millions of people to on their knees crying out for God to save them. I pray that we will not wait for a disaster to turn back to God and ask for His protection.

The reports that a French parliamentary committee wants to ban the full face veil in certain circumstances has caused outrage among not only Muslims, but some respected Christian commentators as well. As an opinion writer who has closely followed issues of human rights and freedom of religion for The Australian newspaper, I too received a flurry of emails when the news broke.

One friend and colleague — the editor of Mercatornet, actually – seeking my opinion expressed his own: “To me, it seems crazy, a violation of freedoms, a victory for a certain brand of feminism, etc. But obviously, many respectable people take a different approach.”

Well, I am one of the “respectable” people to whom he refers (I hope). I do not agree with the wearing of a full face and body veil in the West. In these insecure times there are good reasons for banning it in government offices. I do not see this as a feminist issue. I do not see this as religious issue, despite the intervention of the Catholic church which has wrongly compared it to freedom for Christians in Muslim nations, most of which do not allow Christians any freedom to wear any symbols or practice their faith at all. No rather, this is a political issue.

The French have a huge problem. Due to a combination of their Francophone immigration laws and Muslim fertility rates, which are about four times the average in France, they have a Muslim population of about six million. However it is important to remember that this population comprises various types and streams of Islam, and this ban is really only aimed at the type of Islam which might encourage the wearing of the full face and body veil. In other words, it is aimed at the most fanatical and fundamental stream of Islam. And within that so called fundamentalist stream the full face veil is a lot more than a traditional religious symbol of modesty. It is a political symbol.

It is very important to remember this in any discussion of the veil. (See BBC graphic on this page for variations on the veil.) It is often very confusing for women in the West, because we see the veil as a form of sexual oppression. However, our Muslim sisters often see it quite differently. For them it can indeed be oppressive, in the sense of impractical, but that is unimportant compared with its symbolic value. For them it is a symbol of political freedom, not oppression. It was for this reason that it was embraced so fervently in Iran during the revolution, after being completely banned under the rule of the Shah Reza Pahlavi. The more it was banned the more the daughters of the Iranian revolution embraced it.

However, it is also true that there is a small minority of Islamic women for whom the full face veil is simply part of a cultural tradition. Many women wear it in parts of North Africa and it is absolutely mandatory in Saudi Arabia. If these women want to reside in France, they have to accept the other symbolism of the veil, and are unfortunately stuck in the middle of this. The latest proposals would prevent them from gaining residency. This is where the argument tends to shift, and subtle problems of what we in Australia call multiculturalism intrude into the argument.

Some people in Australia, and I admit that I have felt like this, think the current French approach towards any form of religious symbolism too heavy-handed, the result of an historically aggressively secular political tradition; a matter of cutting off the nose to spite the face, so to speak. Some years ago the French tried banning the hijab in schools, along with all other religious symbols. Recently they have had to compromise a bit, and although they will not allow the hijab , which is not the full face veil, they will allow scarfs. In Australia we do allow the hijab to be worn in most places, including schools.

Watching my former neighbours and my pupils in a Sydney girls school 20 years ago it seemed that one could get around quite well in a hijab, although it is awkward and many girls had started to give them up, especially when they went on to work or higher education.

More recently, however, a combination of political awareness and ethnic tensions in Sydney, and the particularly strident contribution of a particularly strident Mullah in western Sydney, has meant that to speak against the hijab is no longer merely to speculate on the future of an awkward garment. Suddenly girls and their families feel victimized. They can become aggressively anti the educational establishment (which doesn’t do girl’s education much good) and start deliberately wearing it — even to Bulldogs football games.
Australia’s problems, however, are as nothing compared with Europe’s. We have had an immigrant culture for our entire history of only 200 years; in Europe immigrant cultures, principally the new Muslim culture has quite suddenly intruded upon a nation steeped in ancient western traditions as well as juggling modern political realities. So the French have decided to draw the line. The line they have drawn is at the full face veil as a political symbol. Hence the recommendation that women who persist in wearing it will not have residency visas.

It seems glaringly obvious that since September 11 and the subsequent London bombings that we should go beyond the politically correct multiculturalism of a former, less insecure time. There are now definite Muslim enclaves in western urban centres where fundamentalist Islam can and does flourish. At the same time, the French government has a security obligation to all its citizens. This means encouraging religious freedom and tolerance, while at the same time discouraging political symbolism which encourages fanaticism under the guise of religious tolerance.

It is a new high-wire act we have avoided in Australia. The Europeans are not so fortunate. Blithely denying that this is a political issue, trying to turn it into a feminist issue or an issue of religious freedom, is really quite a blinkered view — a view which does not grasp modern cultural, demographic and political realities.

She said: I could see the baby try to move away, I just thought, what am I doing? She quit her job and said never again…

Distinguished ambassadors, I am deeply concerned that some very powerful people here at the UN are attempting to hijack the important and noble goal of reducing maternal mortality-MDG #5-by integrating legalization of abortion and expanding access to it. Often cloaked in the language of reproductive health, I respectfully ask that you do all in your power to continue to expose and clarify in clear, unambiguous terms that killing children and harming mothers by abortion is not reproductive health-it is a human rights abuse.

Both the government and the Coalition opposed the Bill. The proposal lost 45 votes to five - this means 25 Senators did not vote. Only the five Greens Senators voted for the Bill - showing that they are more about radical social engineering than the environment.

The ‘Marriage Equality Bill’ was tabled by Hanson-Young last year and the Senate decided to send it to Committee. The Committee called for public submissions and a record number were received. Whilst there was considerable opposition a substantial number of submissions were supportive due to the growing activities and organisation of the homosexual lobby.

The Senate Committee rejected same-sex marriage but made two recommendations that we totally reject, including the formation of a national framework to rejecter same-sex and heterosexual relationships. and that the Australian government provide ‘certificates of non-impediment’ to homosexuals and lesbians wanting to get ‘married’ overseas.

The Senate report was tabled late last year and no response to it has yet been made.

By a ‘coincidence’ (really an amazing example of God’s timing) we are in Canberra this week. Jenny and I spent Wednesday personally visiting a number of MPs and Senators.

Yesterday we were part of a large delegation of Christians gathered at Parliament House to tell MPs and Senators that we fully support marriage between a man and a woman and that we totally oppose any recognition and registration of same-sex relationships including Relationship Registers, Civil Partnerships and same sex “marriage”.

Next week when we are back in the office we will send out a copy of the statement presented by the delegation and a list of the vote so you can write and thank Senators for standing against same-sex marriage.

Legally credentialing 5-Fold Ministers of the Gospel for equipping and edifying the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-13) for extending the Kingdom of God has been a great desire in my heart for many years!
 
Although the process was quite lengthy, including providing much legal documentation, attending board meetings and other meetings, etc., it was certainly worth the challenging effort. In the past several years the Lord has been speaking to me about the desperate need for the restoration of the 5-Fold Ministry in the Body of Christ all over the world, and especially in Australia.  Over the years in Australia and around the world, most of the Church (in nearly every Mainline, Evangelical, Pentecostal, Charismatic Denomination, etc.) has been run primarily by the Ministry Gift / Office of the Pastor and has unfairly put a severe load, yoke, and burden on one particular Ministry Gift / Office, causing major personal breakdowns in marriages and families with many Pastors leaving their God-given call to Christian ministry and spiritual leadership in the Body of Christ. (Matthew 11:28-30)
 
Obeying the leadership of the Holy Spirit and the authority of the Word of God in Ephesians 4:11-13, Catch The Fire Ministries will be ordaining Christian Ministers of the Gospel to function under the anointing of the Holy Spirit in their respective 5-Fold Ministry Offices of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher.  This New Testament Church Government model will inevitably reduce the overwhelming and unhealthy local church ministry load of the Office of Pastor, by appropriately distributing the spiritual leadership throughout the 5-Fold Ministry Gifts /Offices, thus restoring God’s biblical divine order and spiritual government to the Body of Christ.The Lord has been clearly speaking to me, our CTFM ministry team, and many others in the wider Body of Christ in Australia and around the world, that now is God’s kairos time for a Radical Revolution of the Father’s Love which will rise up a Holy Spirit Reformation of the Church of Jesus Christ to supernaturally transform men, women, and children all throughout Australia, every nation, tongue, tribe, people and land!  God cannot pour out the New Wine of His Holy Spirit into the old wine skins! (Matthew 9:17) The DNA of a biological father is naturally passed onto to his children, just as the spiritual DNA of Christian leadership in a denomination, movement, or ministry is passed onto the associated Ministers, Pastors, etc.
 
We at CTFM are calling for, ‘A New Move of God’s Holy Spirit to rise up His people to save and transform our beautiful land of Australia!’ Catch The Fire is calling on all of those who are willing to rise up for Jesus in God’s holy love, bold enough to stand for Biblical correctness, not bowing down to political correctness! We are very interested to hear from those of you whom the Spirit of God is clearly calling to be an Ordained Minister of the Gospel with CTFM.  You can rest assured that you will be fully supported and encouraged to stand strong for Biblical values, Godly character, and being led by the Holy Spirit at all times for the advance of the Kingdom of God.
 
The view that CTFM has always held on alcohol and cigarettes is well documented and known within the Body of Christ. Needless to say this view will play a role in our decision to credential any applicant. We see this as an uncompromising stand for righteousness. Throughout history, spiritual revival occurred with the faithful preaching of righteousness, sin, and judgment. Elijah, faced with 450 prophets of Baal, challenged the people in black and white terms: ‘How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him: but if Baal is God, follow him’ (1 Kings 18:21).
 
It’s very interesting to note that throughout the history of the church, spiritual revivals, reformations, and new outpourings of God’s Holy Spirit were led by those whom the Lord raised up as  forerunners such as Martin Luther, John Wesley, Charles Finney, William Booth, Smith Wigglesworth, AA Allen, and many other pioneers who were considered to be radical and controversial in their generation. They paid a heavy price and some were even excommunicated from their denomination.

However, this persecution from within the Body of Christ set the stage for a new movement of God’s Holy Spirit to breakout throughout the various denominations, spiritual communities, wide society and across the nations of the world. Are you willing to pay the price to see a new move of God?
 
I’m sure you will agree with me, along with many others in the Body of Christ whom the Lord has been using and is raising up at the present moment, that our nation of Australia and the nations of the world desperately need a new move of God’s Holy Spirit! We at CTFM are totally committed to supporting, encouraging, empowering and releasing Christian men and women of God into their God-given calling and ministry assignment in the Kingdom of God in order to see the Bride of Christ prepared for the Bridegroom King’s soon return! All glory to God for this past weekend of supernatural breakthrough as the Spirit of intercessory prayer and travail rocked the CTFM Apostolic Centre in Hallam, Melbourne!  

Pastor Julius, a humble servant of God from Kenya, Africa, ministered the anointed Word of God with a mighty impartation of the Spirit of revival fire, as the CTFM worship team opened the heavens through prophetic worship!  Pastor Julius, an apostolic prophetic minister who travels to many nations to rise up the Body of Christ in intercessory prayer for the nations, greatly inspired God’s army to rise up into their God-given calling and destiny to reclaim Australia for Jesus!

As Holy Spirit hungry people received the Word of the Lord, suddenly it seemed like rivers of living water were flowing out of the innermost being of God’s beloved children as they soaked in His manifest presence, which caused a powerful release of deep intercessory prayer and prophetic travail for the transformation of Australia! (Richmond, Virginia)—Virginia’s House of Delegates passed a bill last week that will protect Virginians from attempts by employers or insurance companies to implant microchips in their bodies against their will.

Said Del. Mark L. Cole, the sponsor of the bill: “My understanding—I’m not a theologian—but there’s a prophecy in the Bible that says you’ll have to receive a mark, or you can neither buy nor sell things in end times. Some people think these computer chips might be that mark. I just think you should have the right to control your own body.”

According to the report, several states, including Wisconsin and Georgia, have approved similar bans.

(London, England)—Christian Today has reported on the answer to many Christians’ prayers after the House of Lords on Monday defeated changes to a law that would have required church groups to hire homosexuals or others whose manner of life is inconsistent with their teaching.

Lady O’Cathain, whose amendment to the Equality Bill specified an exemption for religious groups to equality employment laws, said: “I know that very many Christians were praying that justice would prevail as the House of Lords voted on this important issue….We give thanks to God for the outcome, and we continue to pray for our Government, as Scripture exhorts us to do, that God would bless their counsels.” (Photo: House of Lords-BBC)

The Christian Institute’s Mike Judge commented, “The prayers of thousands of Christians and letter writing to peers was key to protecting our freedom. Surely churches should be free to employ people whose conduct is consistent with church teaching…It’s called freedom of association, and it’s a key liberty in any democratic society.”

Andrea Minichiello Williams, director of Christian Concern For Our Nation, also praised Monday’s vote. “This is a great day for religious liberty in the United Kingdom. We are thankful that the law has not been changed and the freedom of churches to control their own affairs has not been restricted any further. The results show what can happen when Christians pray and take action. Let us be encouraged that even in an increasingly secular society, the voice of the Church can still be heard.”

The report cautions that Harriet Harman, whose name is attached to the Equality Bill, may yet decide to force the bill through the House of Commons or revert to an EU directive prohibiting discrimination in the workplace on the grounds of religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation.
