Rainfall Map“[We] give all the Glory to our Father in Heaven…Let us all look to our Father in Heaven for continued drought-breaking rain.”

(Australia)—Warwick Marsh of Australian Heart Ministries was the coordinator of the Murray Darling Prayer Pilgrimage, a coordinated Christian effort to focus on praying for an end to the drought in their country. Within 48 hours of the gathering, on October 1st, according to a Christian Today report, rain—about 3″ of it—began to fall.

Said Marsh: “The purpose of the Murray Darling Prayer Pilgrimage was to rally people together to pray for a final end to the drought and for a flood of rain to fill the dams and clean out the Murray Darling River System and avert a human and ecological disaster. Australia’s constitution says “humbly relying on the blessings of Almighty God”… ”

Continued Marsh, “Ps Peter Walker, an Indigenous elder and I, invited those gathered to kneel by the riverbank, as we asked God to send the rain and heal the land. We all had a sense that God had heard our prayers. It is still too early too say if the drought has broken…In the last few days since the end of the Murray Darling Prayer Pilgrimage, between 5mm and 50mm of rain has fallen…The praying people of Australia give full credit to God for hearing our prayers and sending the crop-saving rain. The Australian Constitution has said it well. We humbly rely on the blessings of Almighty God. The widespread rain is a direct answer to prayer as much of the rain was not predicted.”

When are we going to have more prayer and FASTING for the drought to break in Victoria. I feel so sorry for the farmers who could have heavy losses. I’m prepared to encourage and give hope by fasting with a group.
