Thanks for this Danny,

I am not sure however if the purpose of this e-mail was to rightly
praise and recognise the tireless work of our wives and mothers, or to
provide yet another example of how lazy and thoughtless Dads are. I
wonder if the genders were to be reversed in this story, if women would
just shrug off this berating without comment.

Can I suggest that you please take a bit more care in vetting such
stories in future, to ensure that they don't come over quite so sexist,
if only for the sake of those dads who do actually work in partnership
with their wonderful wives around the home as well as in their full time
jobs.

I look forward to seeing your Fathers day newsletter edition.

Dear Danny, Thanks for your appreciation of Mothers. My Wife who is a Great Grandmother has arranged a special outreach afternoon tea
tomorrow afternoon for Mothers to thank them for all they do for their children. We are giving them a little gift of appreciation with the text John 3:16. We are Elders in our church for Pastors Helen & Richard De Vries who had lunch with you last Saturday here in Hobart. We are 76 and 77 years old responsible for the Pastoral responsibility for over 20 people and counselling in the church. We also both preach as the Lord leads and guides. We praise God for the health and strength He gives to us both. The world would not employ us but God does and that is what makes the difference. Anyway thanks for your email. May the Lord bless and use you for His Glory. Audrey & Maurice
