[...] Do you like to say what you like on your blog? Hate crimes laws already in place in Australia almost put two Christian pastors into jail recently and cost them many thousands of dollars in legal fees for a mild criticism of the Qu’ran. In Germany, a Lutheran pastor was jailed for voicing his disagreement with abortion. Europe is pushing for the silencing of all voices for Creationism, against homosexuality and even against immigration. In the U.S., there is a hard push to have these legislations put in place. You’d better watch what you say if you disagree with homosexuality, Islam or any other pet cause of the Left. The ‘hate crimes’ lobby are determined to push legislation through the Senate in the U.S. which will have you put into jail. Here’s one incident: [...]

Interesting that the ICV should accept these 5 points?

The 5 points are mostly "Christian" values which are an endemic part of our Australian way of life. "Like it or leave it", and rightly so said our Government!

Would the ICV want to ruffle any more feathers at this stage? Probably not.

Think about it...transpose Point 2 into ANY predominantly Islamic country in the world and you will not find these same Christian values.

Try Saudi, Pakistan, Indonesia...when was the last time we totally banned Islamic worship, stoned our women to death or hacked off the heads of School Girls because they were Muslim?

Shalom

Doesn't God call us to have an unconditional love for all our fellow peoples, regardless of their beliefs, colour, creed etc? This doesn't mean we have to like or uphold the behaviour but we need that unconditional love to maintaian the love of Jesus Christ in this world. Well done for coming to those 5 points agreement. If we all abided by those 5 points the world would be a better place.
