Yesterday was certainly a day of history making. Our Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, stood up in Federal Parliament and said sorry and asked forgiveness from the victims of institutionalised child sex abuse. Please click on the link below to watch a very emotional and heartfelt speech by our PM.

It is very sad to note that this sexual, physical verbal and emotional abuse was carried out by fellow Aussies, who were supposed to protect and take care of these children. Even though I was not living in Australia at that time (I called Australia home 20 plus years ago), On behalf of the Church, “we are so sorry for overlooking such horrible crimes against children”. I must say that I was in tears, when I heard the stories related by of some of the victims. I, myself have a 11 year old daughter and two grown up children. I was very pleased to hear our Prime Minister speak from his heart and say sorry several times. I believe, that this has come at a crucial moment in our nations history.

Would you please pray this prayer with me:

“Dear Lord, we pray that all forms of sexual, physical, verbal and emotional abuse against children will stop and that there will be healing across the Nation, please forgive us”. 2Chro 7:14 – “ If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”.

I believe a new day is dawning upon Australia. Let’s get on our knees and cry out to the Lord to heal our land and give us a great harvest of souls and let the government be upon His shoulders.

God Bless you,

Pastor Daniel Nalliah
