Dear family & friends in Christ,

I am sure everyone of us has asked the above question, “Should the Church be involved in politics?“

The simple answer is YES.

For many years, I was a strong believer, like many Christians, that the Church should not get involved in politics. Unfortunately, I believed in this lie for more than half of my Christian life, as the devil very cleverly deceived me.

But thank God that I had a major paradigm shift, when in Saudi Arabia on 21st July 1997 at 3.40am, Jesus appeared in my house and spoke to me for 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Just 40 minutes from Mecca in Saudi Arabia, Jesus very clearly spoke to me with His audible voice and said, “Your time here is over. I am taking you to Australia and you will go into many parliaments and be a voice for the voiceless speaking in My name.”

All details are in my book ‘Worship Under The Sword’.

I realised that the Lord Jesus taught His disciples to pray, “Thy kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”.

In the past 3-4 years I have led more people to Jesus through Rise Up Australia political party than my previous 15 years as the leader of Catch The Fire Ministries in Australia.

It is so important that Christians rise up and take their place in every sphere of influence in society. If not, governments will pass legislations and completely shut down the Church from declaring that “Jesus is the only way to heaven”.

In the recent past, I have been working very closely with the Reclaim Australia groups and I love working with them because most of them are not Christian believers. But glory to God I have been able to share my faith with them and led several of them to Jesus.

Honestly, these guys seem to love Australia more than many of us Christians, because they dare to come out and take a stand for their nations.

I wonder how many Christians are willing to stand in the gap for their nation. You might say, “I will pray”. That is not good enough as prayer and action must go hand in hand.

What has the Church achieved in the west?? We have actually lost a lot of ground, because a lot of the Church is very passive. In the past 10 years, 2000 churches in UK have been turned into mosques.

Many churches in Australia have been also turned into mosques, but still much of the Church is not willing to step out and take a stand.

Only holy hugs in church will not win the nation to Christ. You must reach out to the unreached before it is too late.

Through Rise Up Australia Party I have had the opportunity to speak to large groups of un-churched people and many have responded by giving their hearts to Jesus.

Many people have told me that they don’t want to go to church, but they love Jesus. This is because of much of the Church not being the salt and light in the community.

We must step out of the box now and get involved in government, etc. and be a voice to protect Australia and see her fulfil her God given destiny as the Great South Land Of The Holy Spirit.

Yes, yes, yes. “The Government shall be upon His shoulders …” Only the redeemed people of God are fit to Govern. We bring truth, wisdom, justice, mercy, hope, courage and holy boldness. How else can nations be cared for? If they respond to the truth, only then can a peoples know blessing and favour?

For those who watched the debate on SSM between senators Cory Barnardi and Penny Wong would have noticed how she was pushing for a separation between Church and State on matters regarding marriage. Why do they want this separation? Because they don’t want God in other areas of our society. They want to confine God to a four-walled building. This is naive thinking particularly when you know that “the earth is the Lord’s”. The earth is His footstool. It behooves the Church of the Living God to manifest His ways in ALL levels of our society, including politics. Even to the spiritual realms we are called to make known the manifold wisdom of God.

Dear Pastor Danny. God bless and protect you always. Thankyou for calling people to prayer for the nation and thankyou for exhorting we christians to act along with our prayers. I will pray that we continue to take back the ground which the enemy has stolen and by this I mean a merciful change to abortion laws and lovingly fight for the rights of all people & creatures under God’s laws & commandments. Regards, JulieJuliette
