General Immediate Release 13th September 2013

A VCAT hearing at 55 King St in Melbourne is scheduled for 10am Monday 16th September 2013 regarding the building permit granted by the City Of Casey Council to build an Islamic Mosque right next to the site of Catch The Fire Ministries new headquarters and church in Doveton, Victoria.

CTFM requested the hearing to be adjourned for one week, since Pastor Daniel Nalliah, President of CTFM is also the National President of the newly formed Rise Up Australia Party and was very busy leading a national election campaign.

This request was rejected by the City of Casey Council, and then VCAT.

Pr Nalliah stated, “I have no faith in the VCAT as they either bungled or mismanaged our case once before with Islamic Council of Victoria vs CTFM.

Furthermore, pertaining to the proposed Mosque in Doveton, VCAT granted a building permit by error, and then revoked it.  We question why VCAT, and the City of Casey Council, are not prepared to adjourn the hearing by one week, even after our legal counsel presented very valid reasons for an adjournment?

This case will obviously end up in Supreme Court.”

Hi Jason thanks for the info, is there any other way of getting things changed via government or local elected member than the present situation bar contacting media showing the way they are bungling decisions? Gb, Malcolm

That Pastor Nalliah was campaigning is not the only valid reason.

    1. He’d been given death threats, & in placing a mosque beside his church both parties will surely have a Conflict Of interest. (Conflict Of Interest is the reason many young people give Centrelink so as they can legally leave their family home or decide which parents home to live at. Maybe this rule might let Danny keep the street safe at least.) & 2. if Daniel feels he must vacate & change premises because he can prove that the mosque was approved by someone or some group in government who don’t Like him, then they or the government might be taken for what’s called Constructive Abandonment (This is what a woman pleads if her man forces her out of the home & away from her children – that he Constructively Abandoned her). There also needs to have been a notification in the newspaper, allowing people the right to object to the mosque, regardless of if the council approves it. I say we need to do some newspaper write-ups ourselves & fast. Krystel

It doesn’t matter if the Islamic people build next to you. If you really love people, it doesn’t matter what they believe, you love them with the agrippo love of God. Muslim people are deceived like every other non believer and they do not have special devil powers that will harm you by being next to you. What if it were a pornographic shop with rude magazines and films? It wouldn’t hurt you or make the death & resurrection of Jesus less powerful or meaningful in your life would it? What if a motor car workshop were to be across the road with a dyno tuner and loud revving of powerful v8 engines? That would be bad for noise. Nothing matters in any of these cases because Jesus is more powerful than anyone else, may be it is God testing your heart to see if you fully trust him? Maybe the Islamic people will come and get saved. It is very important that you don’t make yourself look like a bigot or a religious scaredy cat.
