Dear family & friends in Christ,

1) We thank and praise God for another awesome weekend of His mighty presence at our services in Hallam. I am sure you too had a great time in your church.

Pr Daniel spoke on ‘Is the spirit of alcohol in the church the cause of barrenness?’ After this powerful message, many responded to the altar call to break the evil spirit of alcohol.

This DVD can be ordered by emailing angelene@catchthefire.com.au or calling (03) 9794 8211.

When he first preached this message a few weeks ago, many who listened to it were convicted and stopped drinking alcohol.  Many others emptied their alcoholic drinks in the sink. Many shared their testimonies of how they were completely set free from the demonic bondage of the evil spirit of alcohol after they fully surrendered their lives to Jesus.

At this service many were also mightily touched by the power of the Holy Spirit, and some received deliverance after the service. We thank and praise God that the house of God is the place where you need to be, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you can be set free and prepared for the coming of the Lord. In His presence there is fullness of joy. Glory to God.

2) Our Mission Pastor Gary and his wife Lyn just returned from a missions trip to the Philippines and Sri Lanka, where they were mightily used by God during their 2 weeks trip. Following is their report.

After  divine appointments with several members of the flight crew of Emirates Airlines, Ps. Gary and Lyn arrived via Singapore to Cebu City, The Philippines to an extensive time of ministry to pastors, leaders, churches, outdoor crusades, feeding of hundreds of small children, deliverances, salvations, healings, and officially planting of at least one new church. One very notable healing of a 7-year old crippled girl by the hand of the Lord was amazing to witness. A young man (friend) had brought this girl to the outdoor service believing the Lord could heal her. As Ps. Gary laid hands on her knee caps, her legs began to straighten to normal. Then Ps. Gary told her to rise and walk in the Name of Jesus, and she began walking, though a bit feebly, being aided only for balancing purposes, as these new legs began movement on their own for the first time. Praise the Lord! Ps. Gary ministered powerfully in the Word of God and in singing, and both he and Lyn ministered to and prayed for many in all meetings. Ministry extended as well out onto a floating city called Paradise Village where thousands of families live in handmade houses out over the ocean, all connected to each other and vulnerable to all moving tides.

Moving on to Sri Lanka, Ps. Gary and Lyn went to Batticaloa, on the east coast, where he had been invited to minister in two highly attended ministry meetings. Hundreds of people attended along with 15 pastors from surrounding communities. A vision of national revival was imparted.A number of people were born again in these meetings. The presence of God was so strong on the second night and hundreds came forward for personal ministry, salvation, and deliverance. Also in Batticaloa, Ps. Gary and Lyn spent some significant time with Ps. Puvi and his wife, and the girls and leaders of the Arudpany Girls Home. What a blessing to give each of them a gift from Australia and hugs from all at Catch The Fire Ministries.

After moving back across the country to Badulla, Ps. Gary and Lyn ministered among the Lighthouse churches founded by Ps. Roshan and his wife Shanthi. A number of salvations and much hands-on ministry from Ps. Gary and Lyn brought a significant move of God. Ps. Gary and Lyn also went to the Methodist Girls Home in Badulla which is partially funded by Catch The Fire Ministries. Much more to report at a later time.

I am grateful that someone has the courage to speak against this SPIRIT OF ALCOHOL! It is a DEVIL that destroys and steal and kills. It sems that COMPROMISE make the people turn from GOD to this bottle of doom. Once the denominations didnt care what people thought, only what God thought but as they become more and more COMPROMISED and FRIENDLY WITH THE WORLD they have become the ASSEMBILES OF GROG! This is greatly saddening to me that people would rather roll around on the flood drunk on TOXIC ALCOHOL than seek God. There are BILLIONS of dollars spent on ALCOHOL in AUSTRALIA every year, that is BILLIONS of dollars thyat could be spent on something else and not on this. This is wrong and the church is to blame because we do not pray enough to stop this great evil and that we have been deceived and corrupted into thinking that it is ok to be drinking deep from the cup of the devils brew. Look at what it has done to the Aboriginies and what will become of the children in the middle of all this? Only the other day a Priest was caught for DRINK DRIVING and what does this say when he is 5 times over the limit? How will people know we are not the same as them if we are of the bottle? I was reading the other day in the MEDICAL JOURNAL OF AUSTRALIA that alcohol leads to HOMOSEXUALITY and OTHER CRIMES and that it is the NUMBER ONE cause of LIVER DAMAGE.

    Dear sir

Have you got anymore articles on the spirit of Alcohol in the church causing barreness .,Why does it cause it Barreness.? what else does it do spiritually to people apart from the obvious alcoholism , family trouble. I don’t drink, because God told me not to drink and I wanted to be a good leader and mother and my own family had a problem with it. But a lot of chrisitans think it is alright !!

Anyway hopefully you have a article.

    Thanks and God Bless
