Catch The Fire Ministries has Changed it's Name

Catch The Fire Ministries Inc. has changed its name to Reformation Harvest Fire, and moving forward, you will see references to this name. We aim to complete this name change as soon as feasible and by 30 June 2020 at the very latest.

ReconciliationDear family & friends in Christ,

I am pleased to report that a meeting has taken place between representatives of Catch the Fire Ministries (CTFM), Citylife Church, and Sterihealth, in relation to the issue involving Sterihealth on which I have made a number of recent statements.

The meeting was conducted in a genuine spirit of reconciliation, in which each of the parties acknowledged that both CTFM and Citylife Church are wholeheartedly pro-life ministries. Because of the commercial sensitivity of details regarding Sterihealth’s business activities, the discussions were undertaken strictly on a confidential basis.

At the meeting, detailed discussions took place on matters of concern to CTFM.  While I am unable to share any of the confidential aspects of these discussions, I can say that I now have a greater appreciation of the complexity of the issue, and also of the response and intent of the management of Sterihealth since our concerns were first brought to its attention earlier this year.

I wish you to know that as a result of this meeting I am satisfied that the concerns voiced by CTFM (and others) have been and/or are being addressed in a timely and effective manner, and with the appropriate vigour.  In my view, the company’s management is acting with integrity and commitment to ensure that the business acts in a way which reflects its values. Finally, may I encourage you to continue to pray for those involved and for unity within the church on this very important issue.

Your Bro In Christ,

Pr Daniel Nalliah

Well Done Pastor Danny, I felt all along that it was wisdom to hear the other side of this issue before dealing with it in any way shape or form. The enemy of our souls delights in turning one Christian against another. It must be dealt with wisely, so that it will be Gods outcome and not our enemies( the devils). This had the capacity to be blown out of proportion through emotion and it was troubling to me, however we now have a peaceful and righteous outcome and a church still left in tact. Praise God! Will continue to pray though. Bless you all, Yours In Christ, Janine.

    Hi there Pastor Danny,

Thanks for the latest update on the CityLife / Sterihealth issue. It’s really wonderful to hear that God has brought resolution to this matter. It brings me great joy that you guys are reconciled on it and that any misunderstandings have been cleared.
Yes, this unity must be maintained at all costs, and any offense taken ‘nipped in the bud’. Truth is so freeing, and such a powerful weapon against deception. But love conquers all!

Well done and God blessya heaps. You are a real inspiring man of God.

Your sister in Christ from Emerald,
    Wendy

    Great news.

It is like the dew on Mount Hermon, and the Oil poured on Aaron’s head, and flowed down his garment.

Please convey my regards to Ps Danny on this outcome.

This is a great resolution. I go to Citylife and to be honest I expected this outcome, as Mark Conner is a humble and gracious man, and outspoken in his pro-life stance. I haven’t been a big fan of Danny over the years, but I think what has happened here is wonderful and credit to Danny for his openness in listening to the facts of the story in greater context. What does surprise me is how little positive reaction there has been to this blog post! When the SteriHealth situation first came to light, many followers of this blog were extremely quick to condemn Mark and Citylife, using some very extreme terminology and accusatory language. Some of the posts could have been considered hateful, and many were ill informed. I wonder if anyone who made those particular comments will acknowledge this post and retract some of what they said..? I certainly have more respect for Danny now, and will probably be less likely to dismiss without consideration what he says in future as quickly as I have previously. Hopefully others will be slower on the attack next time.

I don’t agree with some of what Danny says, but that isn’t important. What is important is that both Danny and Mark have committed their lives to the work of God in this country and they have found common ground and reconciliation despite their different approaches and focuses. I think we can all agree that the ability and willingness to forgive and show understanding is a terrific leadership quality.

Congratulations to Mark for making the time to arrange a meeting with all parties. Congratulations to Danny for his open attitude. Happy endings are rare so it is worthwhile celebrating one when it happens!

You know I am a confounded pain, but I read stuff. I am a male and this topic of abortion isn’t high on my agenda. Nevertheless the undeniable fact is that Australia has more than its share of predators and as far as I am concerned the male 50% of them should be put against a wall and shot and I will squeeze the trigger. (That’s scriptural!) It’s a minefield out there. It’s the man’s job to take out the garbage. Then I look at myself and I see in dramatic certainty myself, the hated and despicable abuser of women, against the wall.

It’s clear Pastor Danny is in touch with the heart of God here and the heart of God is what has motivated him. As for the commercial side of it – I suspect it is well nigh impossible to sell a paper clip in this sordid country, without being indirectly involved in vice. Mainstream, household, commercial names are knowingly or unknowingly depicting even children as bait. Anyone doing business is likely to be a partner in the current war on humanity. And some people have a legitimate call to be in commercial business. The country’s lax laws make us all partakers of criminalty.

One of RUAP’s policies is to get some decent history into education. It is my considered opinion that every australian youth needs to be given twelve months or thereabout, roughing it and experiencing how the other half of Australia lives. Every one capable of reading or listening to a recording should be required to be familiar with at least two books: Dame Daisy Bates’ “The Passing of the Aborigine”; and Idriess’s “The Desert Column”. Anyone familiar with those two books will immediately know that the nonsense that gets talked in this country wouldn’t get talked had everyone taken the facts of life on board. Weak-stomached people such as myself will be physically motivated to vomit, reading some (minor)parts of those histories. We would also be enlightened — and alarmed!– about Pastor Danny’s Amalekites.

What we won’t get from those specific two histories is something equally stomach-churning, concurrently happening in suburban Australia. Even the daughter of a prominent, respected, christian (he wouldn’t have liked to be classed as non-christian) statesman/politician died from it – backyard abortion.

Love covers a multitude of sins. Pastor, your work and your associates’ work in counselling women in distress speaks volumes. And if you have been ‘over the top’ good luck to you. And our sympathies are with any honest man doing business in this country.

    Philip

)…I and others I know have been following this situation with interest from the beginning. Normally I receive the blog updates via email, and anything relevant is also forwarded to me by other interested parties. It appears this particular blog post did not reach us, and we only became aware of this article when the following article was emailed out. I am pleased this has been resolved and hope as a result the anti-abortion movement will receive more support from the general christian community, as it has generally been an area avoided by most churches.
