Dear family and friends in Christ,

1) Following is a link to the recent ABC Q & A program with atheist Richard Dawkins.  Also on the program were Julie Bishop (Liberal), Steve Fielding (Family First), Tony Burke (ALP) and a few others.

The main topic was Evolution vs. Creation.

Pr Daniel stated, “I watched this program yesterday as I missed the original broadcast. Sitting by my computer I was absolutely shocked and appalled at how Steve Fielding of Family First responded to the questions. On the contrary I was very impressed by both the Liberal & ALP politicians who spoke up very boldly about their Christian faith. Julie Bishop especially needs our applause and appreciation for being very bold in standing up and supporting the teaching of the Bible in all schools across Australia.”

Please take the time to watch and forward to everyone as this could determine who you vote for at the next Federal Election this November.

2) Please pray and listen if possible to Pastor Daniel’s next radio interview on 94.7FM Pulse Radio in the Greater Geelong area at 5:40pm on Friday 12th March.  Please call the radio station in Geelong on 5222 5947 after the interview to make your voice of support heard.

Keep praying for the matchless Name above all names, and the Prophetic Word of our Lord Jesus Christ, to be highly exalted throughout the Media (Radio, T.V. Newspapers, Internet, Etc.) across our nation of Australia, in this Great South Land of the Holy Spirit!

Totally agree with you on Steve Fielding.

    Kind regards Diwi

I agree, I was appalled at the timidity of Mr Fieldings constant hesitance to answer the questions put to him. I felt very sad to see this man of God bow to the pressure of having the self proclaimed atheist Mr Richard Dawkins sitting right beside him. I saw a total lack of spiritual back bone and no evidence of his love for Jesus. If we are” in love”, don’t we profess that love to as many as will listen? Mr Fielding was given one of the best opportunities given to anyone to speak out about his faith and allow the authority and basis for his faith to convict Mr Dawkins of his deep need for a Saviour! Instead Mr Fielding stammered and faltered on any proclamation he attempted, giving licence to the devil to control the meeting!
However, thanks do go to Tony Burke (ALP) and especially Julia Bishop (Lib) who did a good job of standing up (to a degree) to defend her faith and the issue surrounding Christianity(the study of God’s Word) being added to the school Curriculum in the future. I did not agree with what she said about her belief of “some” parts of the Bible and not others! After all is it not the infallible Word of God?”. May God bless them and increase their faith.
Ultimately, although I was very disappointed in the outcome of the presentation, I have great faith in out GREAT GOD. He uses every situation for good, there is nothing too hard for Him. I also know he deeply loves Mr Dawkins and allowed His Son to die for him so he too may receive the blessed gift of salvation. Let us remember Mr Dawkins as we pray as a nation and ask for his salvation. What a glorious day that will be as we see LOVE conquer hatred!
(I was taught many years ago: “evil breeds evil; and good breeds good” so watch how you speak and pray)

God bless you all at Catch the fire ministries.
    Love in Him

    Dear Catch the Fire Ministries

The Bible does not state the earth is 10,000 years old.

Steve Fielding was defensive and timid from the start. You can’t win an argument against Dawkins when you operate like this. You are going to be demolished.

Key Points Dawkins has to address

    1) If Evolution is a “fact” as he claims, why is it a theory. It is NOT and I say again NOT a SCIENTIFIC LAW.

    2) The 2nd Law of Thermodynamics states that matter moves from a orderly state to a disorderly state. The term used is ENTROPY.

Therefore the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics disproves evolution.

You cannot have a chaotic primodal soup that over 10,000s of years moves and develops into a highly sophisticated human being. I don’t care if you put in 10 million years into the timeframe.

IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN UNDER THE 2nd Law of Thermodynamics.

To believe this evolution scenario you need a whole lot more faith than to accept the wonder and creative power of our Almighty God

If Richard Dawkins thinks his relatives are monkeys then that’s his problem. Mine are not.

    Ho Ho

    regards,
    Phil

    Hi CTFM,
There is no doubt that Sen Steve Fielding presented as a ‘dithering mess’ on the ABC panel, and totally acknowledge that he did it very poorly as a representative for the Lord & His Kingdom, and for his party, Family First Party (and the strong biblical values they stand for). I am also very grateful that Julie Bishop and Tony Burke had the courage of their convictions to speak up for the Kingdom to the extent that they were enlightened, and even ‘rescued’ Steve Fielding , in a sense, as he faced a jeering, mocking crowd as he mumbled and stumbled his way through the issues.

I am wondering if anyone else picked up on the ‘mind assault/oppression’ that Fielding seemed to be under. I was sensing this very strongly, in the spirit world, and wondered how many of us christians were praying ‘help our brother, Sweet Jesus!’, instead of ‘how pathetic, bother!’ . Do you not think that the enemy forces were throwing out their curses against Steve Fielding before and as the show was going to air to intimidate, confuse & vex him; and thus set him up for ridicule and mockery, so that he and FFP would somehow be discredited ? I think many of us were keen to see how would perform and not recognise that he was also needing our prayer support.

Despite our disappointment in our brother Steve Fielding, we still need to be very careful about joining in with the ‘mocking crowd of the world’ when such situations occur. Fielding (as FFP national leader) still represents anti euthanasia, anti gay, anti abortion, anti corrupted equal opportunties & other vital legislation. If you believe that Family First Party was a ‘God idea’ and that the Lord has put (or allowed) Steve Fielding in his political position, then I entreat you all to join together in prayer for this brother for protection over his heart and mind (and all of his being), and grace & strength to rise up in holy courage and boldness (when confronted by the Dawkins/other ‘giants’) and continue to uphold him to be all he was/is called to be as the national FFP leader of Australia. Perhaps you could even write a challenging but compassionate email/letter to him re the issues.

Remember when the time comes to vote at the next Federal Election, what is better….a brother who ‘momentarily’ has had a ‘meltdown’ under pressure (on this one occasion), but still politically upholds (as an individual and as a WHOLE PARTY) all the ethics & values that we, as christians, dearly cherish and would fight for, OR individuals who personally uphold the christian ethics & values to a certain extent, but would have little sway over their party, as a whole, to bring them in to a place of conformity to those very ethics & values that they hold, to then impact on our whole nation for good?

At the same time, i most sincerely proclaim…. ‘Praise the Lord’ for all individuals with christian ethics & values in ALL the political parties….they all help to make a difference!

Although it is certainly befitting to lovingly challenge and correct our brother, Steve Fielding, let us also have the Lord’s heart to uplift, encourage and empower him in prayer and, even, in deed.

    God bless you all richly.

    Hello!

I dont usually watch Q&A but I was disapointed with Steve Feildings approach and I was even though I am not a Labor Voter was impressed with Tony Burke for having a go at Professor Dawkins. Many athiests dont treat beleievers very well and think we are somewhat less intellegent than others because we beleive in a being that they cant see, despite many having have had a personal encounter with the lord himself. Thank you for your thoughts

I don’t agree with the suggestion that the Family First Party (FFP) has “lost the plot”. This assumes they were ever in possession of the plot in the first place! Unfortunately, right from the start the FFP has not been built on a foundation of God’s Word, but on a foundation of secular humanism. FFP leaders constantly remind us their party is “not a Christian party, it is a secular party”, but what is this supposed to mean? That they think Christianity and politics shouldn’t mix? This is exactly the implication of such a statement. It is borderline denial of Christ and His claim of Lordship over Creation.

So it is not surprising then that Fielding is either unwilling or unable to defend the role of Christianity as it applies to politics. In the view of the FFP and Senator Fielding, Christianity is a mere “personal faith” which can have nothing to say about politics. It is nothing short of duplicity for the FFP to be showing a “secular” face to the world, whilst behind the scenes assuring Christians that it is a party of Christian values. The FFP is either a bunch of Christians trying to be secularists, or a bunch of secularists trying to be Christian. Either way, they are utterly confused!

    Hi Jason & Danny,

Don’t let Evans bluff you. With a SA State election this Saturday, the man is presumably concerned to counter any criticism of FFP that may find its way back to SA Christians. If FFP is such a great Christian Party then why did one of its former SA candidates feel the need to leave it so as he could run on an overt pro-life platform as an independent candidate? I’m referring to Trevor Grace: http://www.abortsa.com

Funny how the same people who distanced themselves from your comments re abortion and bushfires and had your credentials withdrawn, come groveling if they think you may influence some Christian votes.
