March for Babies PosterDear friends and family in Christ,

We encourage you to bring carloads and busloads of people to the March for the Babies in Melbourne on Saturday 10th October, 2009.

Date: October 10, 2009 Time: 11.00 am

Location: Treasury Gardens, Corner of Spring Street & Wellington Parade, East Melbourne
MEL REF 1F T8

Please note: The march will proceed to the steps of Parliament House where a presentation will take place.

Our darkest day

On October 10, 2008, the Victorian Parliament passed the Abortion Law Reform Act, one of the most extreme abortion laws in the world. This law eliminated all legal protection for Victorian children until the moment of birth

In remembrance of this shameful day, we gather to march for the babies who never see the light of day in Victoria. The babies of every one in three pregnancies. The more than 20,000 babies destroyed in Victoria every year.

Together we express our profound disappointment with our Government’s failure to:

-Protect the fundamental right to life of every person in our state.
-Offer real help to women in crisis pregnancies, and others who have suffered through abortion.
-Allow freedom of conscience for our health care professionals.

A peaceful witness to life

Our goal is to overturn this terrible law and provide full legal protection to our most vulnerable Victorians. There’s a long road ahead, but we shall overcome!

Please join us as we march from Treasury Gardens to Parliament House, and hear inspirational speakers and music with a message of courage and hope!

Hi Danny, thanks for organising this important event. We will be endevouring to join in with others to show our outrage that this law was passed. After reading your article about sacrifices in Canberra, Satan is really going after the unborn and the young. We carry the light of Jesus with us, so we have to let it shine bright in these dark situations. God’s light is more powerful than Satan’s darkness. We need to show Australia we do care about what the Government is allowing, often in secret or using confusing terminology that people don’t bother trying to understand. We have a ministry on the Gold Coast called Abba Arms. We minister to woman who have post abortion syndrome. There are so many side-affects that women suffer which they are not told about when they are seeking information. We will be informing as many people as we can to either support through pray/intercession or attend the march. Lesley and Coral.

Hey supporters of those in the womb, more Godly power to you and may God’s Holy Spirit move among us this weekend! This country is lied to if they think the majority of us want the right of a women over the right of a child. This is about RESPONSIBILITY! As soon as we start a life in the womb that mother’s body is no longer just there for herself, IT IS SHARED! THE SAME GOES FOR THE FATHER. I hope that no more destruction comes upon the States of Australia that follow this so-called lead. IT WILL ONLY LEAD TO MORE DEATH, MORE DESTRUCTION AND MORE GODLESSNESS. Repeal the BILL THAT KILLS. As Victoria has already found out, it leads to far more than just a BABY lost ….. The pain of destruction for everyone must end here! The curse of taking the devil’s course must be cut off!!

Hi All, Maybe I saw some of you at the March for the babies on Saturday. We Travelled form North East Vic. Hope the turn out is better for next year. Unfortunately, despite peoples best efforts, the word did not spread as far throughout the Melbourne Churches . We new of regular church goers who were unaware the March was on. But they will be there next year. I wonder if Pushing harder on womens health issues, whether this would draw more media attention and in turn more awareness about the real cost of abortion. A few post abortion syndrome speakers?? Secular people tend to turn off when they hear Murder etc, Of course we all know the truth and it should not be forgotten or left out.But I cant help but think that if we can raise awareness around the issues of womens health and the long term affects of abortion that people might switch on rather than off and be more willing to become involved. Anything to bring an end to or reduce numbers of babies killed due to abortion. The babies already taken are safe in Jesus arms. I really think we need to do more to bring awarness to the communities. Also draw peoples attention to the drastically reduced numbers of babies for adoption. Where are all the downsyndrome babies??? I truly dont think the average person realises the true numbers of babies aborted. Any way just a few thoughts.May God Bless you all and your efforts.
