Abortion laws to blame for bush fires?

Churches throughout Victoria have rallied together to assist the bush fire ravaged communities of Victoria. Coordinated by Catch the Fire Ministries (CTFM), four trucks have been booked to distribute essential relief items such as clothes and food to consolidate the efforts of the Salvation Army in assisting suffering families. CTFM is calling on all people, Christians and non-Christians alike, to donate blood via the Red Cross. Please visit their website at www.redcross.org.au/vic/ for more details.

We at CTFM, along with the rest of the Christian community, are in absolute shock, grieving at the loss of life, property, and the immense suffering of all those affected. We offer our deepest condolences to the families and friends of all those who have lost loved ones, homes, businesses, and their livelihood.

CTFM leader, Pastor Danny Nalliah said he would spearhead an effort to provide every assistance to devastated communities, although he was not surprised by the bush fires due to a dream he had last October relating to consequences of the abortion laws passed in Victoria.

He said these bushfires have come as a result of the incendiary abortion laws which decimate life in the womb. Besides providing material assistance, CTFM will commence a seven day prayer and fasting campaign for the nation of Australia tomorrow Wednesday the 11th February.

CTFM has called upon all Australian Bible-believing God-fearing Christians to repent and call upon the Lord Jesus Christ for His mercy and protection over Australia once again.

“Yesterday (Monday 9th February 2009), the front page of the Herald Sun newspaper reported “The Darkest hour for Victoria”.  A few months ago the news media should have reported “The darkest hour for the unborn” but unfortunately the “Decriminalization of Abortion bill” went through parliament and was passed, thus making many people call Victoria ‘the baby killing state of Australia,’” Mr Nalliah said.

He said on November 7 last year we had sent out an email to our national network and a posting on our website (www.catchthefire.com.au) carried an urgent post titled, ‘STOP PRESS. URGENT PRAYER NEEDED REGARDING AUSTRALIA, ESPECIALLY THE STATE OF VICTORIA’ following a dream he had on the 21st of October 2008, which he shared with his team on 22nd October.

Following is an excerpt from the dream which was published in the article.

“In my dream I saw fire everywhere with flames burning very high and uncontrollably. With this I woke up from my dream with the interpretation as the following words came to me in a flash from the Spirit of God.

That His conditional protection has been removed from the nation of Australia, in particular Victoria, for approving the slaughter of innocent children in the womb.”

“We at CTFM have spent the last few days in prayer and weeping, watching the news and learning that more than 170 people have perished and more than 750 houses have gone up in flames with much property and personal belongings of people all wiped out within hours,” he said.

”Australia is based on Judeo-Christian values. How far have we as a nation moved from these principles instilled in our nation’s inception. How much does it take for a nation to return to God? The Bible is very clear, if you walk out of God’s protection and turn your back on Him, you are an open target for the devil to destroy.

“Can we stop the fires? Yes we can! But it will take God’s children to rally together and repent and cry unto Him as in 2 Chronicles 7:14 (The Holy Bible). We at CTFM have seen this happen several times in the past in Australia, which was also covered by many mainstream media outlets.”

“In our prayer and fasting campaign, we are particularly repenting for the passing of the ‘Decriminalization of Abortion Laws of Victoria’ in addition to other unrighteous, ungodly, and unjust laws and practices which have seen a holocaust of some of the most helpless members of the human race, the unborn.

The seven day national prayer and fasting campaign will culminate on Wednesday 18th of February with a united prayer and repentance solemn assembly from 12pm to 2pm at the Victorian State Parliament building. (venue is subject to confirmation – see www.catchthefire.com.au for details)

Pastor Nalliah urged Christians to attend the gathering at the Victorian State Parliament on February 18 to stand in solidarity in this hour of crisis for the nation. CTFM calls on all Australians to declare the 18th February as a National Day of Prayer, Repentance, and Mourning.

CTFM will be collecting the following relief items tomorrow on Wednesday the 11th of February from 10am to 8pm at the church located at 23 Melverton Drive, Hallam Melways ref 96 G 2.

Items needed include: Dry Rations – Sugar, Milk Powder, Coffee, Tea bags, Canned food, Cereals, etc.,  Clothes – Under wear (NEW), Shorts, T/Shirts etc – New or good as new., Toiletries – Towels, Tooth Paste, Tooth Brushes, Soap, Shampoo, Toilet Paper., Bed Linen -  Pillows, Pillow Cases, Sheets etc.,  Crockery – Plates, Cups, Mugs, Knifes, Spoons, Folks etc.

The goods would be distributed on Thursday 12th February throughout various bush fire effected areas.

May God Bless Australia with His Rains of Mercy!

  1. 1 Lose the 'hate' politics

While I applaud the best of ‘Christian values’ demonstrated in quickly offering support, and marshalling efforts, I am absolutely appalled at the linking of this terrible natural disaster, with the right-to-life issue.

Save the politicising, because this certainly does nothing to promote so-called Christian moral virtue, but instead seems hateful and callous.

Thanks for such a great article. I was thinking something similar like “They are going to burn in hell” when Victoria introduced the abortion laws. I didnt think it would be litterally though. What I do find a little confusing though is that regardless of any laws the decision to have an abortion untimately rests with the mother.

Why doesnt god just punish those who make the decisions to abort or those that create the laws to provide the people with the choice instead of the innocent god loving people that have just been burnt to death?

God gave Adam and Eve the choice, was it his fault she ate the apple? It can all be summed up in the single most used reply to my questions in seminary “God works in mysterious ways”.

    Hey guys,

Just a quick message to encourage you to keep praying for everyone in Victoria. Let’s pray for strength to be with people who have lost everything and peace to be with people who have lost friends, family and neighbours. Let’s also pray for a quick recovery of towns and the injured and for people maybe interstate who have friends, family’s, relatives etc battling through this. It is something horrible but God can work miracles!
Keep Praying and may you be blessed. Yours in Christ, G

I fully support the ministry work of CTFM and just honour you for your stand of a “No Compromise” Gospel. I am so blessed and encouraged when I read articles or attend local revival/healing meetings. Looking forward to being apart of your 2009 acheivements. Bless you

    Hi,
I’m in agreement with you regarding the bushfires perhaps being a punishment from God for the abortion laws in Victoria. I actually wrote a letter to the Sydney Morning Herald on this matter querying why John Brumby can cry about the bushfire victims but not cry about all of those lives that have been murdered through abortion. Hypocrite!

Keep up the good work. The press may vilify you but you have some silent supporters such as myself.

Hi there, If MY people, who are called by MY name will humble themselves and pray, indeed.

While half of Victoria suffers grief and destruction (including may born again believers) we can not wait to get back to our revival meetings to have some more sensational experiences and to get personally “blessed”. Such an attitude seems very self centred.

We should weep with them that are weeping and if possible get out there to help. The Christian community with guest houses like El Kanah and such like in Marysville,is devastated and has lost family members.

Bushfires are a reoccurring phenomenon in Australia. Anyone can predict them even now for next year. The rain will fall on the just and the unjust.

What about the disasters up North and the devastation by floods?

That was not exactly prophesied.Yet it happened. What have those states done wrong??

Let’s face it God does not single out sins one by one. Churches are riddled with pew dwellers who are divorced, gambling, alcoholic etc.

The cleansing must begin at the house of the Lord.

Australia is not God’s nation. Neither is Israel.

God’s nation is clearly described in 1 Peter 2 verses 9-10.

The Christian church is supposed to be God’s nation. The greatest sin is our lack of obedience to God’s word. Our divisions, our petty hang ups our thirst for miracles and experiences and our total misunderstanding of the gospel. Many people in Christ’s day believed in Him because of the miracles He did but HE would NOT commit HIMSELF to them because He knew the hearts of men!! What are we really after????

The gospel which was meant to deliver us from our Adamic nature and restore in us once more the “image of God”,. We are created in His image. As Christians we are to reflect that image to the world. If they look at us they should be able to see what God is like.

Does God abhor abortion only or is He grieved maybe because the many spiritual embryos and baby Christians, are stifled and are stumbling and lacking in growth because of the many doctrines and weird goings on in assemblies??

I can not find anywhere in my bible that Christians made it a practice to have meetings in which they longed for miracles or to be slain in the Spirit.

We do not have to be slain in the Spirit if Christ lives within us. He did not roll around on the floor.

On the contrary, He was crucified and our first brothers and sisters were tortured, thrown in front of the lions etc. You should get the DVD “The forbidden Book”.

That is what many Christians have gone through to get the bible in our hands. Not to misuse it but to learn how we should “die daily”. How the sufferings of Christ should overflow in our lives ,so that also through Christ His comfort would overflow” (2 Corinthians 1 verse 5).

Christ wept over Jerusalem and the religious world, rather than weeping over people who without God do as they please. He even said “I do not pray for the world”(John 17 verse 9)

Indeed, it is time God’s people who are called by HIS name should clean their own house up rather than condemning a lost world for the sins they commit.

Could this be a PROPHETIC ministry???God only knows. These are difficult and confusing days in Christianity. May the Lord have mercy on us all.

  5. 5 From Adelaide

I am glad but unsurprised that you are rallying to support those devastated by this disaster.

However, I refuse to believe that God who, in his infinite mercy gave us Jesus Christ, would be so unmerciful as to destroy those you define as good along with those you define as wicked. Did He not say to Abraham that if he could find even so few as ten innocents in the town, Sodom would not be destroyed? And when it WAS destroyed, did He not warn those faithful to Him so that they could get out in time? God is a loving God, and destroys only when there is no other option.

  6. 6 G.G

    Dear Senior Pastor,
I saw your comments on the Sydney Morning Herald website. Thanks. Youre a good man to connect the dots between sin and suffering. I dont think God did the fires… but I sure reckoned satan spoke to a few folks that have open doors to hear his voice. It made my day to see a major christian pastor stand up and speak against sin.
Didnt the Victorian government decriminalise witchcraft a few years ago? I wonder what that careless act will bring to the nation? How many more people on “Missing Persons” lists? I wish my pastors had your grit. God bless. G.G.

  7. 7 PP

You had my support at the time of the vilification trial – but I think the publicity has gone to your head and I will not support any further. Incredible insensitivity and poor judgement.

  8. 8 dianne

I can relate to your concern that statements that link natural disaster with expression of God’s wrath are disconcerting and misrepresentative of God’s heart of compassion in these situations. There will always be a tendency in those who don’t know His love
to misinterpret statements such as Pastor Danny made.

I believe it is a reality that our national spiritual covering is effected by the choices made by the people of Australia. As we are yielded before Him with our hearts tender, open and obedient to His leading God’s protective covering is strong, if as a people we are not then the covering is diminished, I think this was the danger revealed to Pastor Danny. It was and is his responsibility to convey what was revealed to him and pray and exhort others to pray and counter what lay, and still lies ahead, didn’t he do that to the best of his ability.

I think we have to accept the cause and effect of our choices as a collective people and recognize that when the warnings come we are responsible to pray, that is why the warnings are given. If we dismiss the cause and effect relationship we will also dismiss the need to pray. If God reveals the cause and effect relationship between hearts so hardened to the sacred nature of human life in the womb and the power of the enemy to wreak havoc in our lives as a result, then we need to know that. It is the compassion of God that brings the revelation, to me it speaks of the opportunistic nature of our enemy not of a lack of compassion on the part of God. I guess how the admonition is expressed will either enhance peoples understanding of God’s love or hinder it. Wasn’t God’s wrath toward humanity’s sinful choices released once and for all upon Jesus when he hung on the cross paying the price for all sin.
So how could it be the expression of His wrath?

There is nothing callous or hateful about the opportunity to learn from experience about the consequences of sin and nothing hateful in being given warnings concerning such, it’s just our reasoning minds that won’t accept what seems to be an illogical relationship between sin and natural disaster, but it seems to me that God has frequently pointed out the relationship in order to help us overcome.

  9. 9 Greg

    Hi from Sydney

We need to be clear that when natural disasters come and people are hurt or killed God hates it.
He doesn’t wish that any should perish…

But as we (a family, a clan, a church, a society) move away from God we are also removing ourselves
from His protection etc because we live in a fallen world.

The severity of the bush fires and the fact that people were caught off guard IS NOT a specific judgement from God against those individuals but be a natural consequence of our general distancing ourselves from Him.

The dream that Danny had in October would have been one of many warnings and I’m sure he and other
Christians who received the warnings would have prayed to God to stop or minimise the devastation. My
feeling is that the outcome could have been worse and the death toll higher had it not been for Christians
like Danny praying to God on behalf of our nation.

How can I be sure of this?

    1. From specific verse in the Bible

    2. From the general thrust of Scripture disclosing God’s character

    3. From my own dealings with the goodness of God over my life as a Christian

    4. From specific times God has spoken to me about this issue of disasters. An example of this is a dream I had when I was
    an Engineer. (I am now a Pastor.)…

I had a dream in the 90s about a hollowed-out building falling down in the city of Sydney. I was an Civil Engineer
at the time working for the council. After I had the dream i immediately wrote it down and prayed about it in tongues.
The next day at lunchtime a Building Inspector came rushing in to the office and yelled “A building’s wall has fallen across
the road in Hunter Street, people have been killed and its your fault” .

I walked out of the office to get some air and God put something like a cone of peace on me. It was absolutely surreal. I
will never forget it. I knew God was involved in these events. I walked down George Street and a taxi pulled up. The door
opened and my grandmother stepped out. And I told her what was happening. I don’t know how God does this but that’s what
occurred. I believe God was trying to communicate to me not to worry.

The next day Sydney newspapers had “Miracle on Hunter Street” on the front page. Not one person was killed. A few people
had broken bones etc, some cars were crushed etc but it was declared a miracle because at lunch time in Hunter Street there is usually people everywhere. For “some” reason there were very few pedestrians at the exact moment the wall (about 4 stories high) fell right across the street.

(It turns out I had approved the plans months before and the Inspectors job is to make sure what is built is the same as the plans.
So basically the Inspector was huffing and puffing because he was trying not to get the blame. After 6 months of investigation
it wasn’t my fault or his fault but multiple errors compounding on the site.)

Danny, this kind of evangelism is NOT going to do any good – it is more likely to turn people AWAY from you and God. You got it wrong with the last election. I am appalled.

  11. 11 Please, stop

Regarding your comments in the Sydney Morning Herald, now is not the time for political agendas, nor your sensational comments linking the bushfire disaster to the so-called “right to life”. Please have some sympathy and perhaps some tact; your comments are sickening and outrageous.

  12. 12 B.H.

I think it is high time we in this modern day and age learned once again to respect God and his wrath. I believe this current scourge is not only a result of abortion laws, but also “rights” for homosexuals, sport on Good Friday, the excising of Christ from “xmas”, and the general blasphemy pervading today’s secular society. I believe this can be traced back to the drug-crazed 60s and 70s where we saw films such as The Life of Brian, which was blasphemous to a hitherto unknown degree, continuing through the 80s with The Last Temptation of Christ and now we have the wonderful “Internet” where we are continually assaulted with rape-inducing pornography, much of it portraying children.

Do you think God is pleased with all of these “developments”? Of course not.

Those who sow the wind shall reap the whirlwind!

  13. 13 Its time

Its time people took the bible seriously.
God’s warnings and judgements are real and will only increase if people harden their hearts and refuse to repent
Dannys comments may not be politically correct but they are biblically correct
and its time an Australian pastor stood up and said so!

  14. 14 michelle

    Dear Ps Nalliah
I heard you quoted in the news today and I was totally amazed because I knew not only had you spoken the truth, unwelcome truth, but for your courage in speaking. Last night (Monday 9th February) I was crying out to God; how could these fires being described as ” hell on earth” have happened?
I was grieving in my heart for the injured and imaging their panic and horror in trying to escape. I then came to Exodus ch 21 vs 22 – 25. If there is a child born prematurely and injured there will be burn for burn.
God put in my spirit that the fires were related to the Victorian government abortion law. There are consequences to sin. Satan now has a legal right to throw a spirit of death at Victoria.
However, God will use all the above to turn formulaic prayers into cries from our very depths to heal our land.

With love in Christ who came to destroy all the works of the evil one

  15. 15 Helena

Keep up the Great work Danny and CTF.

Unfortunately Victoria passeD laws which allowed the killing of unborn babies AND LESBIANS ACCESS TO ivf.

All babies are Gods creation and a gift to every mother and father and should not be killed in the womb nor used as accessories by lesbians or gays.

Unfortunately anti-chrsitian groups which a re pro-abortion helped pass theses repulsive laws.

With prayer and a return to worshipping the only true God-JESUS CHRIST-Australia can overcome this tragedy!

Donate to the christian charities like the Salvation army!

  16. 16 Bob

I am an evangelist based in England and when I heard about these fires the first thought that went through my mind was “I wonder if Victoria state passed pro abortion laws recently?” It is often the case that when a country legislates in favour of chilkd killing then some calamity occurs. In 1967 the UK passed the abortion law, in a short time N. Ireland flared up in violence and for the next 30 years we had the IRA engaged in a mass murder campaign.

  17. 17 A call to Repentence has never been politically correct...

When Cain killed his brother Abel, the blood cried out. We cannot enshrine murder into law without consequences. Until now, abortion was illegal, but Australia now murders people – the most innocent and vulnerable people at that. The consequences might be natural disasters, collapsing finances, or the ultimate fate – this post-Christian society fades away to be re-populated by another socio-political system. Sound familiar?
Well, she’s not all right, mate! Things are very wrong, mate.

We heading down the wrong road, and in a democracy we all share the blame. Repenting is a prudent action – right about now. There is no politically correct way to advise people to repent.
Just look at John the Baptist, Jesus, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Paul…

  18. 18 Let Us Reason

    Dear Pastor Danny,

I thank God for the support that you are giving to the grieving families and pray for blessing for you and your team for this. But I also pray for wisdom, that for the future you can say things when the time is right and also to rebuke in love.

As for everyone else. let us go out into these devastated communities in love and bring healing first. We have plenty of time to rebuke and show them the way of our precious Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ after this blows over.

    God bless.

  19. 19 Bill

I fully agree with ‘It’s Time’. Many will misunderstand and condemn you Danny, but continue on the path to fight the good fight for our nation. Many will be encouraged and emboldened to speak up for righteousness, holiness and truth because of your sacrifice and stand. Our God is a Righteous God, and until we recover the Fear of the Lord we will not know even the ‘begining of wisdom’.

  20. 20 anon

Thank you Pastor Danny for stepping out and revealing your dream to the media; we can now see the fruits of the abortion laws. God will not tolerate sin and the Victorian Government has enacted a law that enables abortion which is murder. God’s commandment states “thou shall not kill” and your dream has now come to fruition; God’s wrath is now evident through the bushfires. Christians must now stand together and repent for this sin and pray for the repeal of this evil law.

  21. 21 Mary

As Pastor Danny himself said he is telling people what they need to hear, not what they want to hear. I give him my full support.

  22. 22 Terry

While as all Australians I am devastated by the Bush fires I was also devasted by the passing of legislation re abortion, also disgusted that our government would Give all that money to palestine the enemy of Israel.
In the scriptures even a casual observer will understand
God promises to avenge those nations
    1. who shed innocent blood ie abortion
    2. Those who fight against Israel.
also we stir up the wrath of God when we refuse to give God any credit for his work
the Nations of Australia and America have transgressed so unless our nations repent then prepare for the worst.
Mother Nature doesnt exist but Father God does.
    El-nino versus El-shaddai

Danny Naaliah i stand with you and your comments Amen praise God for a man of God willing to stand in the face of opposition Dare to be a Daniel.

  23. 23 Benjamin

    GOD is!

Natural disasters do happen all over the world.

There are numerous verses in the bible that state that God uses major interruptions of man’s lives to waken the minds of people. He has given us freedom of choice – to do right or to do wrong. He has also given us the chance to turn away a natural disaster.

This happend to the beautiful city of Ninive, in ancient times, when Jonah had to obey God and warn the locals of impending doom. The Niniveans, by order of their king, repented and all turned from their evil ways. God spared them all.

The same happened in our times!
In the late seventies, the North Island of New Zealand suffered an extreme period of drought. As no rain was in sight, the government and the churches announced a day of prayer for rain throughout the whole country. The result: rain started the following day, first as light drizzle, softening the dried earth, then proper rain. The drought was halted. God did answer prayer and terminated the disaster.

Exactly the same happened in Cyprus early this century! The island suffered a severe drought, all water reservoirs were at lowest levels. Churches and government called for a prayer day for rain. Rain followed the day after, and in good measure, although the forecasters saw no clouds anywhere. God intervened in a miracle!

If a government does what is good in the sight of God, the country receives God’s blessings. The nation of Israel is an excellent example as we can read its history in the books of Kings. This is no different today. If we despise the rulings of God, we will have to bear the consequences. God wants us to be close to Him, do His will and live responsibly according to His easy laws. Jesus came to free all of His followers, the born again christians, and open the way to a meaningful life here on this earth and in eternity. The choice is ours.

  24. 24 God bless Danny Nalliah and CTFM

    God bless you!
Bless those families and businesses who have been devastated by this disaster.

I take my hat off to true men of God who stand up with Godly ZEAL and boldy proclaim the TRUTH.
“By mercy and truth, iniquity is purged”.
The devil has overplayed his hand.
He is defeated in the mighty name of Jesus.

And to all the true believers reading this and the other comments and articles – don’t be ignorant of satan’s devices.
Satan is the author of confusion and strife.
Don’t succumb to the propaganda of the media and news. The devil is out there to accuse the brethren.
So I rebuke those lies regarding the men of God in Australia in Jesus Name and I declare that the TRUTH will be preached and heard and actioned upon.

Grace and peace to you from the Lord Jesus Christ.
WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM WHO LOVED US.

  25. 25 paul

Thank you Ps Danny for sharing what God has revealed to you personally. The revival meetings have been wonderful with Informing Christians about what It Is we need to be praying for In The Nation Of Australia.
I Pray, Hope and Believe that people will turn to God and The Bible for answers at such a difficult time.
My condolences to those that have lost loved ones and their homes.

  26. 26 Hans

Ultimately it’s all about obedience to God. Would it not have been much easier for Danny just to keep quiet, to do a Jonah and run away? I’m saddened that so many Christians have turned against Danny with the rest and are now trying to shoot the messenger. Is it really so surprising that God would withdraw His conditional protection from our country when you consider that almost 200 unborn babies are aborted EACH DAY in Australia? Let us always remember Eze 33:6 where God demands our duty as watchmen. Thanks Danny for taking your responsibility as watchman a little more serious than a lot of us.

  27. 27 Thomas

The vast majority of Australians will affirm that this country was founded and is still governed on Christian principles “under God” and we have received enormous blessings from God because of that. Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists and people of all faiths desperately want to come here and share the benefits. We are the best governed, the safest and the most peaceful and fairest and most law abiding nation on earth. Our people are respected and looked up to worldwide. The Bible on which this nation’s ethos is founded and which still remains our keystone, states as one of the fundamental ten commandments, “Thou Shalt Not Kill”. Under it’s guidance we abolished the death penalty even for murderers! Jesus added a new commandment,”Suffer the little children to come unto me.. ” How can they come to Jesus if they are aborted? He also said, “If anyone hurts one of my little ones, it would be better for him to be thrown into the sea tied to a millstone…” I am sure drowning would be a far better way to die than being burnt alive – and it is not even the fire victims fault. The Bible clearly states, “When the leaders fail, the people suffer”. In Victoria we have a Government of killers of little children. It is time we abolished the child death penalty for unborn babies – and they certainly have not done anything wrong. May God help Victoria and the whole of Australia if the anti-God laws are left in place, because nobody else will be able to. Keep up the good work.

  28. 28 muzza

Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there whose only image of God is of a spiteful judgemental cranky old man spitting fire. We therefore need to be careful how we say things because that is what they will hear and that is what some sections of the media delight in promoting as the “Christian view”. (We need to be as gentle as a dove but subtle as serpents).
I am appalled by the abortion laws and I am appalled by the fires. Are they linked? Especially as we learn that some of the most devastating fires appear to have been deliberately lit, they are linked, both manifestations of sin. Do people decide to opt in or out of God’s grace? We do. Are there consequences? Both now and hereafter. Are natural consequences the ‘judgement of God’? In a sense, yes, because God created and sustains the universe. But people have interpreted Danny’s comments to mean ‘Retribution from an angry God’. As someone above pointed out if this were so, then such retribution would be indiscriminate and unjust. It offends our God-given sense of justice. The Pharisees saw suffering as punishment for sin, but Jesus takes this attitude to task, and causes us to check ourselves: Luke 13: 1-5 and John 9.

  29. 29 Adam & Libby

spot on….were praying for you…my wife Libby and I were praying for the victims and Victoria and as we prayed for Catch the fire, I could see a giant hand and a chisel or maybe a tent peg. The prayer was that Jesus would gain a strong hold in Victoria and Melbourne over the demonic powers now at work there. I could see the chisel being hammered into the ground near or on Melbourne itself..driven to a depth where it is very difficult to remove. The impression which came with the picture of the chisel was like a rock climber peg, used so as not to “FALL BACK”. Bless you Adam and Libby

  30. 30 Kees

Dear friends please pray with me in de name of Jesus Holy Blood to
    protect Australia against bushfires
    it helps believe it
    Regards Kees.

  31. 31 Lachlan

Good on you Danny for speaking what you believe is the truth about the fires. I support you 100%. God is no respecter of men and abortion is the scurge of sociaty. Please keep telling the truth. I believe you and you know that you are right because God has told you you are right. Regards Lachlan.

  32. 32 Talene

    Hello Danny Nallia,

You have come to my attention due to your recent media scrutiny and your comments actually relate to a current dilemma that I have experienced.

Danny… I recently had an abortion. I am currently experiencing deep regret about this decision that I thought was right at the time. I gave it a lot of thought and I believed it was for the best but now I am conflicted. I know what I did cannot be undone… but will God ever forgive me? What must I do to receive his forgiveness so that when I die, I can enter through the pearly gates into my paradise? I really don’t want to burn in the pits of hell, where I will eat naught but burning hot coals and drink naught but burning hot cola; where fiery demons will punch me in the back; where my soul will be chopped into confetti and strewn upon a parade of murderers and single mothers; where my tongue will be torn out by ravenous birds!

I will do whatever it takes… I seek your guidance.

    Kind regards,
    Talene

Dear Friends at Catch the Fire,

I should really like to read the Sydney Morning Herald article on the
pastor’s dream but I cannot access it on this computer. It says the article
is too old to be brought up. Is it possible for you to copy it and forward
    it to me?

With regard to the tragic bushfires I had a picture of the situation with
King David who sinned and brought a plague on his people so that many died,
The people were innocent of David’s crime, but rot at the top had severe
consequences on his subjects. Victoria’s anti-God laws have left the people
    tragically unprotected.

    In and for the truth,
    Joan

    Dear Pastor Danny Nalliah.

I am Catholic, therefore not of a faith system normally supported by Pentecostal Churches such as yours. However I congratulate you for your speak out on Abortion. I also do believe you had the dream you say you had. May God bless you and reward you for your courage. D.H.W

  35. 35 Chris

Dear Danny, right or wrong about the abortion and bushfire issue, I personally don’t know, however I’m not sure that right now is a good time to voice it. It comes across as condemnation to some and I’m worried it will make us christians look like nutbars – again.
    Love your work anyway.

  36. 36 Paul

I pray that through these difficult times around Victoria with the bushfires people will come to know Jesus Christ personally and The Message and Truth of Gods word The Bible.
My condolences to those that have lost so much.

  37. 37 Julie

good for you Pastor Danny. You continue to tell and warn the people. You are like another Jeremiah
Will pray for you in all this. blessings Julie

  38. 38 Pablo

    Hi Danny.

I’m rather disturbed by Howard Sattler’s attack on you on Tuesday, concerning the Victorian bushfires. I would like to let you know that you have our 100% support on your views, and your vision. Keep up the good work and never give in to the pressure of the media or media personalities. Let me tell you that Howard Sattler, in general, is a conservative voice on 882 and more often than not has sound views across an array of social justice issues. The problem he has, like 99% of people in the general community, is that they have a veil over their eyes and are completely oblivious to the greater tragedy that is tens of thousands of legalized murders. They are unaware of the greater accountability the people of God are under. God’s justice makes no sense to a sick and dying world Danny. People mean well, but they have no concept of the greater reality, and have no idea of the spiritual consequences associated with their actions or inactions.

You will find that many within the church will be critical as well, but stand strong because God loves boldness, and many who call themselves people of God in this day and age are ravenous wolves.

I will be in touch regarding our involvement with RUA. Anthea may have mentioned that we have had some family issues lately that need some serious attention, and I personally am not in a good way as a result. Yes, spiritually I’ve been struggling in the middle of so much disunity and conflict, but I trust the Lord will bridge the gaps and that forgiveness and healing will take place. We will do what we can to assist those who will take over the reigns here in Perth, and we will be more than happy to attend the meetings and support the ministry as much as possible.

May God bless you and your family.
    Take care.
    Pablo.

    Hi Danny
Just read your article in Sydney morning herald. Great work. People need
to now that the Lord is the lord of justice not only the God of love and
is to be respected. There is a small group of us here in Bendigo Who
fight along side you in this abortion battle. We have some anti
abortionist evangilists coming to bendigo I will find out when and would
love to have you up here your schedule permitting.

Hows that turn coat Costello?Guess Ill have to forgive him too! May the
lord keep you and the Lord bless you in all that you do

    Hi Danny and Jason,

Have just sent the following to Michael Smith at 4BC. We heard Danny on the radio and applaud and support his stand.

    God Bless you both.

    Regards Bev and Jim.

    Hi Smithy,
Like Ps Danny, I thank God for freedom of speech, but am unsure why you feel so threatened, when someone does not share your opinion, that you feel the need to denigrate that person. That is beneath you as a broadcaster.
I support Ps Danny. He is an awesome man of God who has the courage of his convictions. What God puts on his heart, regardless of the controversy it may cause, he speaks it out, and delivers God’s message!
    Don’t shoot the messenger Smithy!

  41. 41 Rosemary

    Hi, Pastor Danny,

Thank you for this email it’s shocking as I watch over the Australian Network and was praying
for my family in Victoria ( Ballarat) dont know where my family are in the newspaper.
Prayer partners and friends in Christ Jesus this is a year of fullness of it’s kind.
I have the copy of email was send to me aswell and I corporate with you all in prayer (slaughter unborn
children in the womb).( Repentance prayer on be half of Victoria ).

Yes Ewan, I agreed with you it is the fulfilment of the dream Ps Danny had in last October.
    Shalom be with you all.

  42. 42 Lisa

Thinking of all the hundreds of thousands of babies killed each year… over a number of years… it’s staggerring.
God truly is merciful towards us and uses the least amount of pain possible to get us to realise the massive mistakes we have made so that we may gain so much more than we ever thought possible.
    This is true love.

Let’s hope the prayer movement stirs hearts to repentance.

  43. 43 Ruth

    Dear Danny

I fully support what you have said, and once again the media has twisted the words to suit themselves. God says in His Word that if His people will repent, He will heal the land. He is speaking of Christians and it is well pass the time for us to stand up and be counted. Too many churches these days are preaching a `social gospel’ and the real Christians must stand up and refuse to be part of this, and as such, Danny, you are a leader among men, appointed for such a time as this. It is just a pity that more of our Christian leaders aren’t like you.

I mourn, along with the rest of the nation, for those who have perished or lost everything during these bushfires, and I have cried out to God with a heavy heart, but we need to also realise that we are fast running out of time to bring the lost to Christ and need to be bold in our witness and I thank God that you have shown us we need to make a stand. Events around the world are showing that the time is short.

If people think that what has happened now is devastating, and it is, God help them if they have to face the Tribulation which will be so much worse. We must not stand back and do nothing or else we will be answering to God regarding the fact that we did not do more to bring people to the Truth.

  44. 44 Geoff

    Hi Danny,

Bless ya heaps brother for holding to a gospel of courage … Mt 5:11

  45. 45 A.B.

Dear Ps Danny and the team; may the LORD strengthen & protect u as u minister to the body. We
have just seen the judgements of God. The type of heat, radiant where water itself dissolves is a
type of biblical heat:elijah/prophets of baal. It is also a forerunner to what will occur during the
time of the tribulation. God’s wrath. As christians we have to ask God to clean the church, motivate
her to run with the madate of winning the lost, living in holiness. As the great sthland of the Holy
Spirit, we have had here in VIC our chief police commissioner spearheading pro-gay rites at
rallies. Also John Brumby endorsing pro-abortion to 28wks. The enemy needs permission to come
in and destroy, esp thru leaders.he can’t just run amok, he has to have access. All around the
globe we need a global awakening to occur. Dr Billye Graham, just turned 90 is excpectant, waiting
for the LORD’s return. His word’s are to live each day as if He will come has also said USA is in a
downward spiral that it will never recover from. Our greatest hope is in our loving saviour,His blood
shed for each and every one of us.The harvest must come in. Righteousness exalts a nation sin
will bring it down. Holding onto His word, His mercy, sincerely in Christ, A.B.

  46. 46 Nick

Thank you for standing up to this.

My wife and I have been saying the same thing that God’s sovereign protection has been removed from Victoria as a direct result of this horrible Bill.

As a society, we cannot continue to do whatever we want and not expect any consequences.

We have even tempted to think, “how many precious babies have been lost since the Bill was passed and how does that equate to the number of lives now?”

We cry for the lives lost in the fires, but we cry just as much for the lost babies!

And for anyone else who condemns your comments as insensitive, how insensitive as they as they sit back and watch our unborn being slaughtered!?!

As a nation we also have to consider other natural disasters in the light of our activities eg the longest and worst drought in history against rampant support for homosexuality.

We are praying for your protection and wisdom as you move forward in His will.

    Nick

  47. 47 Richard

    Hi

I am from near Cairns and heard about you on TV and would be interested
in working with you and helping in the ministry. I share similar views
on many things like how the fires could be punishment from God for
    disobeying Him.

I am inviting Christians for fellowship and to form a group so that we
can help others. Many people have sought God with all their ability and
are weak in faith because they feel that God has not provided for their
needs. Committed Christians whose prayers make a noticeable difference
and are definitely led by God could help and encourage these people.
Please let me know of anyone you know that is obviously supernaturally
led and helped by God, as in the other letter I am about to send you.
They could help our ministry enormously and encourage us, and teach us
    the truth on contentious issues.

I would like any suggestions that you have that would encourage people
to share the other letter that I will send.

I also have a number of websites and ideas that are totally separate to
my Christian site. They include inventions, weather information,
political solutions, community groups and important information that is
rarely seen. For example, true conspiracies and solutions on how to
avoid them. There is a plan for a better system. I will also send you a
letter about these sites that you can share. I am seeking to swap links
with related sites. Any feedback is welcome because it will help me to
make improvements. I am willing to consider changes as I am seeking the
    truth.

    Your help will be appreciated
    Regards Richard

    Dear Pastor Danny Nalliah,

    Greetings.

    * We are praying and fasting with you for our Nation Of Australia.

Joan and I support you regarding the dream regarding ungodly laws our politicans keep putting into action, instead of seeking The Living God for direction !

Ever since November, 2007; the Lord has been giving me visions of a large dark black cloud coming over our nation and heading directly for Canberra.

In 2008, the Lord gave me a vision of a storm in Queensland for an ungodly law passed. – Cyclone in North Queensland.

Wild storms over New South Wales.

Also violent rumblings and black heavy clouds again this year, over the nation – in Queensland and Victoria.

I have drawn and dated these visions as they came to me.

    * My wife and I wish to forward a donation of $ 500 – 00 to you to assist the people in need as you have been doing !

    Please forward Name of Bank, Branch Number, Account Number – Catch The Fire Ministries ;

    Hello,
I would like to support your efforts to help the bush fire victims.
Could give me your BSB & account number.
Also did Pastor Danny publish his dream about raging fires Back in October 21
    If so where.
God will not cause pain, however if we choose to step out of his will satan will.
    God Bless

As Isaiah62:6&7 says that we are set as watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem, that we shall not hold our peace day or night. Those of us who make mention of the Lord do not keep silence and give him no rest till He (God) establishes And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

As I went back to the email that was sent out in November,2008 regarding Pastor Daniel’s dream. We here in Ramu Valley(PNG) stand with yous in prayer because we are set as watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem. I encourage you all brethren from Catch the Fire Ministry with words Joshua spoke “ BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE”. ONLY BE STRONG AND VERY COURAGEOUS. The Sovereign God that we serve will not let our Christian brothers and sisters from Australia down. He will definitely see you through this turmoil.

I pray for Peace that passeth all understanding to over flow on your loved ones.

Thank you and God Bless you

  52. 52 Chris

    Dear Pastor Danny

Thank you from the pews of Australian Churches for speaking up about the

judgment upon our nation and for giving an unpopular but important the
    prophetic warning.

I have so often thought why are church leaders so silent about sin and
judgment, why dont they warn people, why dont they use their platform to

shout it from the roof tops and call our nation back to God. But it
takes courage to go against the crowd and be ridiculed.

You standing up and saying the truth also inspires us to stand up and
    say the truth

    God bless you

    Chris

  53. 53 Mike

    Dear Danny and friends

    Keep up God’s great work

And may God continue to bless you and shower you guys with everything you need

    Love and blessings

  54. 54 John & Kelly

    Dear Pastor Danny

This is a quick note to thank you for boldly declaring our Lord and King’s TRUTH regarding the problems our land is facing across Australia.

Danny it was more than 2 years ago when our Lord would speak to me by His Word and Spirit regarding the cause for the perpetual drought that our nation of Australia has suffered the ongoing destruction that a drought like this stimulates.

Like you my conviction was so strong that approx. 2 years I tried to communicate a number of times with politicians inc. the Federal Agricultural Minister, who would not reply to my emails because of the nature of their content (God’s Word).

Danny, the other thought that has concerned me for some time is that many of the Churches, even large ones across Australia are at best requesting congregations to pray for drought relief and bush fires offer food, water, money etc. We even have many visuals on national television where Children of God are praying quiet, non effective prayers in the hope of gaining our Lord’s attention.

Whilst praying for drought relief and bush fires offering food, water, money etc. is not wrong, I do believe that during times like this that Australia is suffering, the Church leaders across Australia who already have a platform could RISE UP to declare the truth by sharing God’s Word to Australian’s to help the ungodly and the Godly to clearly see WHY our nation is suffering the GOOD NEWS of HOW we can remove the power of the curse on our land by SIMPLY turning to God Almighty and obeying the principles of His Kingdom here on this earth. Only then, will Australia once again look like a ‘Garden of Eden’.

Danny, I again write this to thank you for boldly declaring our Lord and King’s TRUTH regarding the problems our land and nation is suffering.

My wife (Kelly) and I pray the Preservation of the Holy Spirit within you the fiery circle of our Lord’s Protection to surround you as you use your Pastoral platform to continue to speak God’s truth in love.

“Then I, myself says the Lord, will be a protective wall of fire around you. And I will be the glory (preservation) inside you!’ Zechariah 2: 5

Keep on keeping on my Brother because only when we SPEAK the AUTHORITY and POWER of God’s Word will we take ground from our enemy in the realm of the spirit and WIN!!!

    With love in Christ
    John & Kelly

  55. 55 Cathryn

I was devastated to read some of the letters here from those who are born again(but not surprised). This has been the problem with the Body of Christ right from the first, starting with the disciples themselves. I do not believe that you stated that God was punishing anyone. He (God0 is not able to provide protection when we continue in sin.Sin causes us to walk out of divine protection and into judgment. We open ourselves up to judgment by ignoring the One who gave His life for us. He is a long suffering God and so much so, we can not begin to know the depth of His enduring. Trying to get our attention before we walk over the edge of the cliff we choose to walk along. Right from the start of Christianity the enemy has caused strife. Mostly with doctrine. That one seemly small thing has caused us to be so torn apart. How can a hurting and dying world come to know Him (and who would want to ) with the Body acting the way we do. We are all guilty of this. It go’s right to the first and really the only sin, PRIDE! Did not the enemy say he was going to raise his throne above God.s. I mean after all he was the most beautiful creation that God had ever created. And after all he was the head angel. The very same pride was birthed into mankind at the fall. When one decides to sleep around or to kill another human that is simply this. PRIED. I have said I will be my own God and make a set of law’s for myself. Is that not what Satan did at his fall? Just plain and simple pride. Well then we just need to take care of pride and everything will be o.k. . Yes and if you choose to go down this road you will find that that one thing is so very very deep within mankind. When I started down that road in 2002, I would not have believed where I would be in 2009. And still nowhere near the end of pride in myself. Sorry about that I tend to get off down a rabbit trail. What I’m trying to say is we should spend more time looking at our own sin and asking God to deliver us from ourselves instead of worrying about doctrine and such. Pray for one another the thing we would like to see in our own lives. By the way I learned that in A.A. not church. Judgment is on the earth. Always has been and will be until the end of this age. Just read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. I am from the U.S. where this same thing has been going on for a long time. And by the way Israel is set up by God and the Jew as a special people unto God. It’s written in old testament as well as new. Has not changed. Prophetic vision and dreams are symbolic in nature. When one try’s to understand from a literal since, then we get it all wrong and build a doctrine. Scripture say’s in Revelation 11:3 And I will grant my two witnesses authority to prophesy for 1,260 days, dressed in sackcloth (sackcloth represents humility which is the opposite from pride). 11:4 (These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.) I have heard so many different ideas preached on this. Well , how about this one which will also back up that Israel continues to be a special people unto God. The two are the 1.Jew’s who come to know Him as Messiah as it states we the church will provoke them into jealousy. And the 2nd the church. Not two who are sent from heaven that did not or did die. We spend too much time trying to be deep when mostly it’s is very simple and plain. I say we all forgive one another and get down to cleaning up ourselves and pray without ceasing for everyone and let God do the rest. Will be continuing in prayer for your country and ministry. In His Service, Cathryn

  56. 56 Daniel

Thankyou Ps. Danny for pointing out that Satan has been given more access to steal, kill and destroy the further we (as people) move away from God and His protection. Without God, there is no way, no truth, and alas: no life.

It has been this way from the beginning. Just like “righteous” Abel died from Cain’s sin, so have these “innocent” died. Just as Abel’s blood cries out, so now does the blood of those killed in these fires, and the multitudes of unborn.

The portrayal by the media of the fires’ destruction is vivid.
I pray they would just as vividly show the mass destruction of the unborn.

My prayers are with the survivors and all affected by both tragedies.

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ

May I commend the good work you are all doing to bring relief and succor to those who have suffered in this terrible tragedy.

When will people realise that to flout the LAW of GOD will bring misery upon us all. It is surely better to burn a little now than to suffer the torments of HELLFIRE for eternity. It is a BLESSING from the Lord to teach us these truths before it is too late so that in the GRACE of the ALMIGHTY might we rebuild our communities to serve his WILL and to enjoy HIS PROTECTION once more.

May the FIRE of The Lord God ALMIGHTY cleanse our souls for ever and ever AMEN.

I dare you to post this… this post that does not agree with Christianity… Your branch of Christianity……

Some of the comments made by people who call themselves Christians…… What Hippocrites?

I am pleased I do Know many Christians who do walk their talk and find your beliefs unbelievable……

The Bible written by Man to control the congregation and to put fear in the general public……. Do not find your words full of comfort but only disgust………

It is comments like these written by those who do not walk their Talk that make me pleased I mix with many like-minded loving and honest Spiritual people, Pagans, Witches, Wiccans, Druids, Shamans, Tao, Tantrik (Those that do not follow a Book Tradition but an Oral Tradition… Teachings to choose one’s path with love and integrity…….)
Do what ye will but let it harm None for what is sent forth returns Threefold…..(how you treat yourself and others will be reflected in your future life/lives)
You do not follow a path of integrity because if you did you would not have made comments as you did inregards to the Fires being related to The Abortion laws agreed upon within Victoria….. The Fires were delibertly lit by people not By AN Universal Deity wishing to avenge the people… how nasty can you get? and that includes the comments made by people that agree with that comment….

take a Honest look at yourself and reread your post, can you honestly say with integrity your comments are not hurtful and nasty…. Do you honestly believe such rubbish spewing out of that man’s mouth…………?

As A Witch I do not believe in such a Vengeful God…….. I do not believe in a Devil (Christian Priests made him up to control the congregation CONTROL BY THE CHURCH>>>>>>>

I believe in Love and light with integrity…….

This is a reply to the plea of TALENE your post really touched my heart and i feel led by God to help you a little bit as Pastor Danny may be very busy.
you asked can God ever forgive me of my sin? and what must i do to enter into heaven.

let me say firstly Abortion is sin just like any other sin such as murder, lying, stealing, adultery, homosexuality etc..
please understand this there is no one Good enough to deserve heaven in fact the bible says all have sinned romans 3:23 it says there is none righteous no not one. God can forgive any sin if we 1. admit we have sinned 2. ask God for forgiveness he is willing and able to forgive us. all sin has consequence and you may suffer the consequence of your sin ie pain or guiltiness.
there is no sin that God cannot forgive except the blasphemy of the holy Spirit ie. denying that Christ can save

What must I do to enter into heaven? and not go to hell.
any person who goes to heaven can only go one way and Jesus Christ is the only way, the bible teaches eternal life is a gift that is free to us tho it cost God his Son Jesus Christ to buy our salvation
there is no sin allowed in heaven and the problem to man kind is that we were born with a sin nature inherited from our parents. not one person is Good enough or deserves to go to heaven further more we deserve hell the bible teaches.
God saw our wretched condition and he sent his Son Jesus Christ fully man yet fully God to the earth born of a virgin so as to tell us God was his father he had the blood of God and he was sinless yet because the bible says the only way God can forgive sin is by the shedding of blood Jesus then took the sins of everyone upon him and shed his blood to satisfy the justice of God. if we believe that christ died for our sins on that day then our sins are taken from us and forgiven by Jesus christ the blood of jesus christ cleans us and then when we die and appear before the lord to be judged we are seen in the eyes of God as being righteous and without sin now if we dont believe Christ is our saviour then we must find a way to pay for our sins.
“believe on the name of the lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
understanding this then call upon ie pray and Ask the lord Jesus to be your saviour see Romans 10
    also read John 3:14- 19

I sincerely hope and pray this helps you and i apologize for any spelling mistakes it is late now and must go to sleep

    Dear Pastor Danny,

I knew from the day the Victorian bushfires began that it was, in fact, the devil’s deception and destroying nature. I totally agree with what has been said in earlier blogs about how once we open the door of sin, Satan enters and deceives us.

The Word states in James 1:16-18 (NIV), “Don’t be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all He created.” This passage of Scripture can be interpreted in different ways, but I beleive the ‘shifting shadows’ is a metaphor for Satan’s evil schemes.

Earlier in this chapter in verse 14 to 15, James talks about how temptation becomes desire, then after it is conceived,” it gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.” How much clearer can you get than that?!

I would just like to end by thanking you Pastor Danny and your congregation for being bold and courageous in speaking out about these important issues. My Church and I will continue to support and pray for the victims of the tragic bushfires of Victoria.

Final word of encouragement – read 2 Timothy 3!
Praise God for His mercy and redemption.
Emmanuel – God is with us.

    With love in Christ,

    Kelly

Dear Ps Danny. You’re sincerity is appreciated, but your timing in this instance was poorly judged. Doing an “I told you so” in the midst of such suffering will not yield any support for the cause of the unborn within the community.

I have not been so offended by anything in a long time.
I know there are Christians out there that feel the same way.
Stop the fear campaigning, especially when its this serious.

  64. 64 Lan

    To the Pastor,

I am really upset that your words that you said were spoken at a time when we, as a nation needed to be brought together. What gives you the right to say such things. I have a faith and an understanding of what is right and what is wrong. You could of said nothing until a better time was available. I thought GOD has unconditional love for all and that his only son died on the cross for all our sins???YES, I know there is more to it than what I have just said but lets just keep this uncomplicated! Hopefully deep down inside your mind, you know what you did was going to cause pain to alot of people. Unfortunately your CTFM is a small minority in Australia and don’t for one minute think that you and your flock speak for all Australians and all christians.

I too believe abortion is wrong and has no place in society, but we are a democratic society, elect governments to make selective judgements for the majority, yes, the majority of Australians, thats how parties get to govern. So don’t blame the people who choose to have abortions that what they did or what the government has implemented or passed as the trigger of the bush fires that is just plain unkind.

I dare say the majority of these emails you recieve are only from your ministry anyway, but at least you have the decency to filter some of the outer people to let them have their say.

In a nutshell you should of chosen your words better, picked a better time to say what you felt, and have the decency to respect families that are really hurting at this time. I really hope that when you and all those that supported your comments are face to face with God on judgement day his unconditional love will look beyond what was said and that your names will be still written in the book of life, because he does forgive but will never forget. Everyone sins.

    All the best,

    Wow, Ps. Danny. Just Wow.
Thank you so much for opening my eyes to the truth. It seems blindingly obvious now that you’ve put it out there. Good on you for what you have done and God bless for what you continue to do.
As i was reading through these comments, I came across those which said that we should be worried about secular perception of this statement/incorrect interpretations of non-Christians/generally offending people by speaking out of political turn. To them i would like to say, This is not what we as Christians should be worrying about. Worrying about what people think? really? Yes, OK, so it may not be a positive thing, but we have been warned that living the Christian lifestyle is radical and daring, and we may risk putting our reputation on the line. In the grand scheme of things it is more important that we dare to do what we would normally shy away from for fear of offending people (Jesus wasn’t afraid to offend [and by offend i mean say politically incorrect stuff] while He was here either. Didn’t stop him so why should it stop us?)
All we need to do is follow God’s directions. If He says Make a Bold Statement, you don’t say no. I applaud you, Danny, for taking up that challenge so fearlessly.

Remember, doing nothing and standing idly by is as bad as committing the sins yourself. The label “Christian” means that we have taken on certain obligations. Who are we to call ourself by this name (His name) then go against His will?

Again thank you for bringing the important issues to light. Spread the word guys.
    God bless you all

    Lucy

    Hi Danny

keep the faith and do not be swayed so long as you are doing what is right in the sight of the Lord.

Not many of us have the courage to stand and declare such things even the Lord told us…God has given you the boldness.

Be humble , no need to defend yourself as God is our judge.

    Praying for you.

I see Christian compassion is alive and well

Which bible is it that you are taking this from.

God does NOT make little children suffer such a nasty death on behalf of adults choices

    Dear Pastor Danny,

In August 2002 abortion was decriminalised in the Australian Capital Territory. You will recall in late January 2003 that Canberra suffered what was then the worst bushfire disaster in Australia’s history. About 500 homes were lost together with 4 lives.

In November 2008 abortion was decriminalised in Victoria. Only 3 months later Victoria has suffered the ‘mother of all bushfires’.

    Co-incidence?

We have ’sewn the wind and reaped the whirlwind’.

When we see the survivors overjoyed to meet up with their loved ones, it seems that there is a realisation of the preciousness and fragility of human life. Why can’t we see it when it applies to the unborn innocents. Wake Up Australia!!!

Thank you Pastor Danny for your courage.

    Carolyn

  69. 69 Jeanne

    Dear Danny,

Thankyou for being courageous and speaking out, as a watchman for the people of your country, as in Ezekiel 33.

Australia, the Great South Land of The Holy Spirit, needs a lot more fearless religious leaders like you, because at present Australians are like sheep without a shepherd, and most are still asleep.

I am a Catholic and belong to a charismatic prayer group committed to praying for the unborn, and we were stunned at the callousness of the politicians who voted for the unrestrained slaughter of the little innocents in Victoria last October.

We feel very united to you, and others who have written in supporting the truth you spoke, and feel that you made the right decision to reveal your prophetic dream, as others in our prayer group had similar dreams, visions and words of knowledge after this diabolical bill was passed last year. One lady saw fires with very high flames.

Of course we are all devasted by the terrible fires, and the people affected are always in our prayers and we have sent donations, but Australia also needs to return to it’s religious roots and pray that the chastisement from God, which we will all face soon, may be mitigated.

Australia is a truly blessed country and greatly loved by God and a different type of fire – the fire of The Holy Spirit – will soon sweep completely through our Nation and hearts will be on fire with the love of God and Our Loving Saviour Jesus Christ and His Holy Mother and ours. There will be more conversions than ever before in the history of our land and we will become an icon of love and peace for other countries throughout the world.

But not before Australia, the Sleeping Giant, is awakened, and it will take God to do that, as we must still live out the remaining time of the purification.

God Bless you again for speaking out Danny – most will crucify you, but you are blessed for that as well!

    Love Jeanne

I saw John Brumby hugging and been very supportive of the fire victims ..where upon I sighed thinking how ironical, in light of what Pastor Danny warned about last November… Brumby along with other politicians who supported the decriminalization of abortion in Victoria has I believed brought this tragedy down upon our heads

  71. 71 jason

    Dear Danny,

The time of the false belief that our wrongful actions will not have consequences is coming to an end. Although this is a terrible, heart-wrenching tragedy, I must remind everyone that we’re all sinners damned to Hell. This is the message of the bible, that each and every one of us is wretched. But the hope of the bible is that each and every one of us can achieve salvation through the grace of the Lord and the Lord alone.

Satan is abound in our world and he is very real. He has spiritually entered the weak minds of the people and persuaded them to believe that killing one’s own innocent children is just and correct. This is a self-evident truth, however most people are too drunk in sin to perceive it. It’s bad enough that most babies that are aborted were conceived in sin, but now they have to be brutally murdered before they can receive their new character and be acceptable to Jesus in heaven. It’s almost as if these terrible parents are pulling down souls from God and casting them straight into hell. These people sicken me.

Remember that everything that happens is part of God’s master plan. I can pray for a change in their hearts, that the Lord may breathe them a new life, so they may see Christ and stop their blood lust.

    Amen!

    Jason from Canada

The benevolent acts of the CTFM members in providing assistance to victims of the bush fires are to be applauded, right along with everyone else giving of their time, some at great risk to their own life. Mr Nalliah should have let the actions of the group do the preaching for him. Instead, he has tarnished their good deeds with his God’s wrath and hell-fire sermonising.

  73. 73 Shane

Dear Danny When I heard about the bush fires myfirst thought was OH No a puinsment from God for the aboration laws also, and I relyed this at my work. Of course people dont what to hear this and blame the fires on Climate Change. Being Catholic we know the story of Fatimia how Sister Lucy was told by the virgin mary that a second world war would come about if man did not repent of there sins !1915 she was told. What the virgin said happended and the sign would be theat euopre sky would turn read 1936 and that would be a sign of grat punisment and a sign of the second world war. So sin and punishment is sent by God. Its also in the Bible. Let us pray for a change of heart for the Australian Government and it its people. Its very sad all around that babies, and human lives are lost and people and animals suffer. Letus pray for Austrialia. Praise God we are sorry for sins and sorry we have hurt you. Pleae give us your grace and Blessings and forgive our sins of pride ad walking away from you. AMENn

Here’s a media release from Australian Christian Churches (ACC) about the Victorian bushfires. It contains an implicit reference to Danny’s statement. It would seem that the ACC consider Danny’s claim linking the legalisation of abortion to these fires to be a “political statement”. That’s funny, I thought the issue of abortion wasn’t so much a political issue as a moral one. This is more craven political correctness of the kind we’ve come to expect from the mostly wimpy crop of present day church leaders. I can only think of about three high profile Australian Christian leaders with enough guts to stand up and challenge any of the politically correct idols of today – Danny Nalliah, George Pell, and Fred Nile. Most of the rest are sycophants to the powerful left-leaning MSM.

When it comes to standing up and being seen and heard where and when it really counts such as with opposing abortion or opposing the homosexual activist agenda, don’t expect much from the ACC. If you look at the ACC media releases at the link below you will find no mention of abortion or same-sex marriage or any of the other most serious moral issues that are a challenge to the church and the nation. What you will find is a bunch of feel-good statements boasting about how generous the ACC are, and even one saying what a good bloke Kevin Rudd is for saying sorry to the so-called ‘stolen generations’. When it comes to engaging in the ‘culture wars’, the ACC appear to be ‘missing in action’.

    PRAYER AND SUPPORT FOR VICTORIA

    Released: Wednesday, 11 February 2009

As Australians, it is impossible (and unthinkable) to ignore the tragedy that has so recently devastated the state of Victoria. The recent bushfires have claimed too many lives, and changed the face of some communities forever. Too many people have lost homes, and too many people are now facing the heartbreaking task of rebuilding their lives without loved ones. Our hearts and prayers are with all of those affected by these horrible fires.

In times like these, it is often easy to ask why things like this happen, and to look heavenward for answers. Too often we try to understand these tragic times, and turn to political statements and moral codes to help us grasp the depth of these situations. It breaks my heart to hear of people making broad, bold, and often very disillusioned statements equating such tragedies as ‘retribution from God’.

The God I serve is a personal being who cares about our everyday lives, and whose heart breaks over these unfair and often unjust circumstances. I believe in a God who is full of mercy and grace, a compassionate Saviour who wants to build people’s lives for the better, feels the pain of loss as His own, and who cares deeply for those that are hurting, alone, widowed and orphaned.

Our days are filled with unpredictable circumstances, and it is at this time that we must quickly focus our attention to offering support and compassion, concentrating our efforts on the restoration of these great Australian communities and our neighbours in need.

The Lord gave me the passage of scripture, Psalm 11: 1-7 last night after hearing my Pastor say what Danny said was wrong I was amazed!!! Why are we afraid to see the seriousness of this incident and God’s hand in this. The headlines in the newspapers all called it Hell The word Hell was referred to many times by many secular reports!!!and in this Psalm God talks of sending scorching winds and fire raining down from Heaven as God deals with the unrighteousness of man. Read it its so timely!!!

  76. 76 Bill Mc

Ps Danny….Please hang in there and continue to project the truth. I totally agree with your message over the fire issue. There have been a few other shock anti God decisions by the Vic Govt (elected by the people) that would add to the downward spiral of un-Godliness. Some of the comment against you has been off the planet. The secular world has no idea of the position it is in. Blessings Bill Mc

  77. 77 Gwenda

Dear ACL, It looked to me that Mark Conner has misread what Pastor Danny Nahliah said. He did not say that people perished or their homes burned because of their sin, he said that God had withdrawn His hand from Victoria because of the Abortion law that the Victorian Government had brought in (and all the others that fly in His face). I thought Marks letter was shallow. Yes we all grieve, we all help but over the top of all that has happened we see that the rebellious sin that has been willfully brought into Victoria by the Labour Government remains. When thousands of Victorians grieve also about those bad laws, do you think that God just turns a blind eye. In Matthew 6 the Bible talks about storing up treasures, where your heart is there your treasure will be also. In Matthew 7 The Golden Rule says (Jesus words for all these), Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets. But the very next two verses talks about how narrow the gate is and how wide the highway to hell. Jesus put before us a different way of seeing than in the natural. Blessings, Gwenda

Why is arson illegal and abortion not ? They are both murder ! Hang in there, Danny

    Dear Danny,

I have just read your statements on your Catch the Fire web site about the bushfires in Victoria. It was a shock to read your claims of divine revelation and your attributing the reason for the fires to decisions of our Victorian parliament in passing pro abortion legislation.

I pray that you will come to realise the damage your statements can and probably have already made as you portray God in a way I cannot accept. Yes, the legislation is wrong and our society desperately needs to repent. The Church, even more so, needs to repent and seek the face of God. However, I do not believe that God has lifted His covering from our state, nor allowed or permitted these fires as a judgement.

I do not wish to go into a lengthy detailing of reasons for my concern other than to remind you of the fact that ‘where sin abounds, grace much more abounds.’ (Rom.5:20) I pray you will reconsider the message you are sending out at this tragic and sensitive time, when grace and love are desperately needed by so many, including many believers.

    Your brother in Christ, George

    Hi Jason,

In regards to the furor that has arisen from someone sharing a dream, perhaps no one has taken this slant: – instead of ignoring it or ridiculing this word – if the people who are canning Danny had actually prayed into this vision and acted on it accordingly, we wouldn’t be having to do fire plans after the event. Maybe yet again God was warning people and no one took any notice? That’s neither a new nor strange concept in this day and age.

Pastors, Danny, Jason and team! Greetings in our mighty Saviour’s name!
May the Lord pour out in tremendous abundance His mighty empowerment on you.
Who else do we see sticking their neck out in the public arena and declaring what surely must be obvious to even the least curious Christian
regarding the recent bushfire ‘judgment’ on Victoria and Victorians. Yes, every one of us is moved with compassion for all of those affected, directly or
indirectly by the devastation. But the fact remains that this was such an extraordinary combination of circumstances, very reminiscent of O.T.
judgment by the Lord of Israel through conquering nations like Chaldea, that it is impossible to ignore! Bless you and praise you for having the
courage to speak what is on your heart. My wife and I stand with you in this matter, and our hearts are aligned with yours in what is happening to
our Great South Land of the Holy Spirit. Time has well passed for complacency, apathy and inactivity! Prayer is vital, but without acting on what we
know to be right and necessary it is a ‘cop out!’ CTFM, I want to know what we can do to demonstrate our support of what you stand for. I want to know
what you would have us do to visibly and vocally support what the Lord has called you to do. We are beside ourselves that the Churches are silent
in these latter days. If ever there was a time when the Church needs to be heard, it is NOW! Otherwise, what does she REALLY stand for? Fight the
good fight. In His name, Trevor

Dear all at Catch The Fire Ministries,

I have just seen an article about Pastor Danny’s comments about God’s judgement re the abortion laws, and I totally agree with you that it is

possible that God is handing down a judgement on Victoria after they passed the abortion legislation.

I just wanted you to know that I highly esteem Pastor Danny for speaking out like this, despite knowing that he would be persecuted for

his faithfulness and obedience to share what he believed God had shared with him.

I have seen a few of Pastor Danny’s sermons on ACCTV, as I am in Qld and I have found him to be a most sincere man.

I was grieved to read so much persecution directed towards Pastor Danny, but then it is end times, and I am hardly suprised. It is however, just another jewel in your crown!

(To ironically quote Gianna Jensen at Victoria Parliament in Sept 2008). To ignore such a beautiful and precious example of grace and truth, Gianna Jensen

as she advocated and pleaded for the life of unborn children — I am not suprised our Father God was enraged at Victoria’s decision to overlook her amazing testimony of

His goodness and power to save her for His purpose and glory. I would not be suprised if the He chose to show who is in control by this act. To murder innocent children is

an abomination towards the Lord. We can only hope that speak will learn from this.

Our family will be praying for you, your family and your ministry. We sincerely hope that you stay well-rested in the loving arms of our precious Saviour as you walk this difficult and

    narrow road.

    Agape and Shalom,

    Your Sister in Christ

    Just a couple of things
    1. Someone pointed out that the ones who made the decisions regarding abortion were in the city
    2. The fires occurred in the bush – so where is the justice to link the two?

Someone quoted the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple in Matthew 24. I have done some study into this, from what I see it cannot be compared to the bushfires. The Chrisitans fled Jerusalem as Jesus had instructed them to, the ones to suffer this judgement were the Jews who rejected Christ, not the Christians.
Likewise there were people who persihed who had nothing to do with abortions and then there would have been the ones guilty of abortion who didn’t persih
Ezekiel chapter 18 tells us the righteous will not be punished for the sins of the wicked. Ezekiel 18:20 says “The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him.”

  89. 89 Janine

We are not living in the times of the old covenant where God punished people in such ways e.g Sodom and Gomorrah. Jesus indicated that disasters will come in a world spoilt by sin but they are not the result of people’s sins. See Luke 13:1-6 The Tower of Siloam. Some of the fires in Victoria were caused by arsonists and many years of drought was a contributing factor. We should continue in prayer and material help for those who have been through this terrible time.

  90. 90 Ewan

One thing I believe the critics of Danny’s statement have in common – they downplay or fail to grasp the seriousness of the abortion holocaust. Many start off their comments by saying they “don’t agree with abortion but….” This is little more than a cop-out. It’s a bit like saying “I’m not racist but….”

Danny has been and continues to be a voice for the preborn. I wonder how many of his critics have ever done anything to oppose abortion or did anything to oppose the Victorian bill to legalise baby killing?

  91. 91 Rich

    Hi guys,

    I am a little confused.

-Ps Danny says that this is God’s judgement on Victoria for passing the abortion laws.
-Westboro Baptist Church says that this is due to God’s judgement on Australia for facilitating the homosexual agenda.

    Who is right.

  92. 92 SA

Can we please leave politics out of this? Helping the people devastated by these fires is what is important. Who cares what the cause was.

  93. 93 Terence

As you know we in the UK are urging prayer for our country with regard to the abortion issue in view of what has happened and is happening in Australia. Here all parties are pro-abortion and have been for very many years but we desire to see change which only God can bring. Your Prime Minister seems very sombre and thought ful when he is shown on TV.

Very warm blessings from the Lord to you all, Love in the Lord Jesus Terence

  94. 94 lisa

gwendas comment about mark conners letter obviously showed that she has misread mark conner as opposed to him misreading danny nallia. one of the most well known verses in the bible John 3:16 clearly states “for God so loved the world that he gave his only son, so that we shall not perish but have eternal life. for i did not come into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” how can any christian who believes what the bible says think that God would punish victoria for passing the abortion laws? God doesnt contradict himself. the people affected by the bush fires had absolutely nothing to do with the law being passed, why would God punish them? isnt it just illogical?

  95. 95 Ewan

“Can we please leave politics out of this?” asks SA above. But abortion has nothing to do with politics – it is a question of morality and one that concerns matters of life and death.

  96. 96 Peter

I praise God for your courage Pastor Danny.

  97. 97 Ben

Let me be the first Ewan, to state for you that I fully support abortion on demand. I also fully support facilities to offer councelling and advise (though certainly not relegious advise) to women seeking an abortion. Oh and by the way, I also fully support voluntary euthenasia. I am an atheist. You may wish to read a letter I wrote this week to our local paper concerning your Pastor Danny Nahlia and his revolting, cruel and heartless coments on the tradgic fires that have ravaged Victoria. As I said in my letter (Central Western Daily) I do not believe there is a hell, however if there were such a place then Pastor Nalliah has passed his early entrance exam with flying colours and I ca not think of a more appropriate place for him to dwell.

    “Come the Revolution”

  98. 98 Harry

There was no suffering before the Fall. We also note in the new heaven and earth, where there is no sin, there is also no suffering. Suffering is linked to sin. At the same time, we must never establish a simple one-to-one equation between a person’s suffering and his sin.

This is part of the lesson of the ninth chapter of the Gospel of John. When Jesus healed the blind man the disciples asked, “Why was this man born blind? Was it for his sin or the sin of his father?” Jesus said, “Both of your alternatives are wrong, including Pastor Danny. It was not for this man’s sin nor for the sin of his father that he was born blind, but that God might be glorified.”

Notice that Jesus does not concede that the man’s blindness is a direct result of retributive justice. Nor does He say, “It just happened.” Rather, there was a reason for it, but that reason was not part of an equation involving his sin. It is the same with Job. When Job suffered as he did, his friends came to him and said, “Job, you have a lot of repenting to do. Anybody suffering this much must be really wicked.” But they missed the whole point.

One the other hand, we dare not jump to conclusions in the other direction and say that there is never a relationship between human suffering and the corrective wrath of God. Anytime I suffer I should ask: What does God have in mind? He may not have anything in mind that I will ever know about in this world. But He might, because we know that the scriptures teach us that God does chastise those whom He loves and that part of the chastening process is the experience of pain and suffering. I may not come to the conclusion that my particular pain at that particular moment is for a particular sin. But I should certainly allow the occasion of my suffering to be at the same time an occasion for an evaluation of my relationship to God.

    THE WRONG QUESTION

We see this matter of sin and suffering handled in a particularly astonishing way when another question was put to Jesus. On this occasion some people had come to Jesus and said, “What about those 18 people who were killed when the Tower of Siloam fell over on them and crushed them? And what about the Galileans who were killed at the very moment of making their offerings?” (Luke 13:1-5). These 18 people were presumably walking down the street, minding their own business. They were not heckling the construction workers. They were not blaspheming. They were just walking down the street, and the tower fell on their heads and they were crushed.

How did Jesus answer? Did He say, “I know that the Old Testament says, ‘He who keepeth Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps,’ but you have to understand that this is Hebrew poetry and that the Jewish people of the Old Testament are given to hyperbole. Remember that my Father gets tired. We read in the opening chapters of Genesis that He created the heavens and the earth in six days and finally took a rest. I suppose on that particular afternoon He was resting and the tower accidentally fell over on the heads of these people. I promise I’ll communicate with the my Father. I’ll ask Him to be more efficient in the future.” Is that what Jesus said? No, that is not what He said!

Nor did Jesus say, “I know I said that the hairs of your head are all numbered and that my Father knows every sparrow that touches the earth. But I was just trying to make a point. Don’t push it too far. Remember what a Herculean task it is to count all the hairs on all the heads of all the people in this world? Well, this one afternoon there was a great flock of migratory birds that diverted my Father’s attention from the tower.” This is not what he said.

What did he say? The words He gave were words that theologians put under the category of hard sayings of Jesus. He said, “Unless you repent you will all likewise perish” (Luke 13:5). What an answer! What is Jesus saying here? I think that what he is saying is that these people were asking the wrong question. The question should have asked is not, “Why did God allow these innocent people to die by having a tower fall on their heads?” Rather, the question they should have asked is: “Jesus, why didn’t that tower fall on me?” We are puzzled and bewildered whenever we see suffering in this world because we have become accustomed to the mercy and the long-suffering of God. Amazing grace is no longer amazing to us. So our astonishment is in the wrong place. The real question is: Why has God not destroyed us all since we got out of our beds this morning? Why does He tolerate us as we continue our work of sin and destruction upon His planet?

    REAL INJUSTICE

There is still the problem of unrequited evil, of injustice in this world. There is a very real sense in which you and I suffer unjustly in this world compared to other people. In the earlier part of the Book of Revelation you have the saints of God behind the altar crying out for vindication. They had been abused. They had been slandered, persecuted. They had been slain by wicked people for righteousness sake. We look and understand that there is such a thing as injustice. It is not an illusion. When you slander me, you have created an injustice and caused me to suffer unjustly with respect to our relationship. When I slander you I injure you without just cause. But there is a certain sense in which, although we may suffer unjustly at the hands of men, horizontally, we can never turn in the vertical direction to look into the face of the Creator and say, “God, it isn’t fair!” We cannot do that because, although the horizontal relationship may be one of injustice, the vertical relationship is never of one of injustice. You can pray about whatever you want to pray about, but don’t ever ask for justice from God, because you might get it.

What I am saying is that the suffering of the Christian or anyone else in this world is never ultimately an accident. All suffering is within the pale of divine sovereignty. All suffering comes within the broader context of the sovereignty of God. However, when you start asking about particular cases and particular applications, we cannot answer that question.

Job wanted an answer. I think he pushed God a bit too hard when he screamed out for vindication. So when God answered Job out of the whirlwind, He said, “Who is this who darkens counsel with words without knowledge? What is your name?” AS if He didn’t know his name! He knew his name. He knew who it was. He knew that it was his servant Job upon whom He had heaped blessing upon blessing, prosperity upon prosperity. And then He said, “Job, I’ll answer your questions, after you answer mine. I’m going to interrogate you just a little bit. Job, where were you when I established the foundations of heaven and earth? Where were you Job? What was your address? And Job is looking at Him, his lips quivering; and he is trying to think of an answer, but he does not have time. God goes onto the next question. “Job

What led to this terrible bushfire situation can be prevented in future by men and women who realise what fire can do.

God does not commit atrocities, never has and never will harm any human ever. So end conspiracy.

Men and Women please take action with love and respect and understanding for Nature and don’t undermine Nature’s balance.

Please if you respect God, stop saying God is responsible for awful things like these bushfires.

It deeply saddens me that blame for anything is laid on God by any man or woman .

  100. 100 joel

Hi agreed with pastor dream .when i heard of bush fire even Holy Spirit spoke to me its a wrath of God .It’s a reminder that God is coming soon and he will judge according to our works .
Wages of sin is death, but gift of God is eternal life.
.but it would have been better if pastor would have waited for a little while and said.
God bless australia that all people come to salvation

  101. 101 Steven

    Dear Mr Nalliah,

I have taken a couple of weeks before writing this email because I didn’t want it to be a hastily penned (or rather typed!) message sent
off in anger. But rather it needed to be one I had thought about, prayed about and written carefully and calmly.

Firstly, let me say I admire your strong stand against abortion and the change to the abortion laws in Victoria. Opposition to abortion can be
an unpopular stance to take – even, remarkable, within the church – and I urge you to stand firm.

Secondly, you and your church should also be thanked for the help you have provided to the victims of the bushfires.

However, I cannot let your press release linking abortion laws to the bushfires go unchallenged.

We don’t always know why God acts in the way He does. Neither do we always know why He allows things to happen the way they do.

But the Bible is clear about God’s punishment: it is perfect and it is just – just as He is.

The bushfires had neither of these characteristics. We saw the homes of Christians destroyed, we know Christians who died. There are homes of
    others left standing.

I find one of the hardest questions to answer as a Christian is: “Why does God allow suffering?” Or, worded another way: “Why do bad things
    happen to good people?”

Jesus Himself spoke on this topic in Luke 13. He doesn’t actually say why the bad things happen, but says we should be alarmed by them: “Do
you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? I tell you, no! But unless you
repent, you too will all perish. Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on them – do you think they were more guilty than
all the others living in Jerusalem? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.”

Natural disasters or man-made horrors inflicted on people are clearly not God’s punishment, according to Jesus. But we should take heed of
them. They are warnings, nothing more or less. People who suffer in times of natural crisis or war are no more or less sinful than those who
do not. But it serves to remind those of us left behind that judgement IS coming – and we will all stand before the judgement seat of God.

Mr Nalliah, in the press release I have seen, your justification for linking the horror of the abortion laws and the horror of the bushfires
was a dream you had last year. I believe God can speak to us through dreams, through burning bushes and through talking donkeys, should He so
choose. However, God speaks to us primarily through His Son, through the Bible. And only the Bible is God’s unerring Word. Anything He might say
to us through any other means must be judged against His Word. It will never contradict His Word. It never has higher authority than His Word.

I would humbly put to you that your dream was not a word from God, because it clearly contradicts the written Word of God. Jesus says one
thing and your dream (or your interpretation of it) says another.

Mr Nalliah, you are a man who has made quite an impact in the media in recent years. If you were just another minister in a local suburban
church who had made this comment in a Sunday sermon, I probably wouldn’t have heard about it and definitely would not have written to you about
it. But you are becoming a well-known figure, particularly in Melbourne and you made your comments in a nationally released media statement. It
was reported in newspapers across the country. And it is wrong – and that is why I feel the need to write to you. It is not always easy being
a Christian in Australian workplaces. It is often harder in times of crisis and people start demanding of you: “Where was your God when this
happened?” But when you make such inflammatory statements which so clearly contradict Scripture you make it all the more difficult.

I would urge you please judge any dreams you might have against the Word of God. It is everlasting, it is perfect, it is God-breathed and “useful
for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).

    Yours in Christ,

    Steven

  102. 102 Ruth

Obviously Steven, you have only read the press release as it was reported by the paper. What Pastor Danny actually said can be read on this website. He stated that God had removed His hand of protection over the state. And really the blame can be put squarely at the feet of the churches in general for living by the world’s standards and not by the Word of God. How many churches do you see speaking up about the things that are abominations to the Lord, no instead they are embracing them and making them a part of their churches. Do not think that God is going to stand by and let the church continue the way it is, just because He is a God of love. He is more than this, He is Holy and abhors sin, and none moreso than the sin of the church in living the ways of the world. Jesus Himself said that in the end times there will be days of punishment (read Matthew 21:7-36), and that if God did not shorten the days even the elect would suffer(Matthew 24:22).

  103. 103 basa

When I first read what Pastor Danny had to say I agreed with him but the timing was wrong. MY WIFE AND I HAVE BEEN PRACTICING CHRISTIANS 30 years now seena lot ,and today on our 48th wedding anniversary we realise how evil thay abortion is.
Our daughter became pregnant just7 months before we became Christians and we insisted on her having an abortion as it was acceptable even in 1978 by some doctors, but our doctor was against it and told us to let her keep her baby we are so glad we did and we now have a wonderful grandson our daughter eventually married the father ,we accepted Christ, in NOV”78 and now know that we condoned murder, asked God’s forgiveness which He will do for all who ask it.

I say “good on you Ps Danny : for having the guts to speak out even at such a time also the gay mardi gras in Sydney and Sydney had billions of dollars, storm damage from giant hailstones several times ,over some years.
AS for God’s fury we know that every time that USA agreed to divide Israel then storms, tornadoes, and lightning did billions of dollars damage to US states.
    Just check it out.
Australia has become a secular humanistic hedonistic nation where anything goes, drugs and alcohol are killing hundreds of our young every year,as well as sexually transmitted dieases infecting thousands and so it goes on and on and on & on.
How long can God’s love for mankind continue without intervetion in some way, do we expect a big reward for our turning against His LOVE?
We cried with the people in the fires as we watched them day by day on TV we prayed and did not know how and what to pray,it broke our hearts to see the human and animal sufferings. We sent money, and anything we could do I am now too old to give blood but would gladly do that too if they let me .God bless Australia “The Great Southland Of The Hoy Spirit” Brian& Pat WA

  104. 104 RH

We as a nation are responsible for around 10 babies an hour being aborted – 24 hours a day 7 days a week 360 days a year.
Without a doubt there are consequences as a result of such horrific behaviour. I do agree that the further we remove ourselves from relationship with God the less of his protection we can expect. The women choosing to have their babies lives terminated continue to suffer with guilt, grief and pain. 90,000 young Australian lives are snuffed out each year and there are many who condone this and many more who do nothing. “Evil prevails when good men do nothing”. Now most certainly is the time to instill a sense of morality back into our society, to offer every support to women who become pregnant, and to help support the children granted life through that support. It is time to act and to reveal to the lost the one true God, our actions will speak much louder than our words.

  105. 105 Ben

Juat an obsevation of my own for you RH. In my experience the worst of evils usually stem from religion and not least christianity. Humans have an in-built morality regardless of religious indoctrination. I was brought up in an athiest home and am an athiest, however was given every encouragement to find my own belief/faith if I chose. Being of reasonable inteligence I of course chose athiesim as I cannot see any proof what-so-ever of any gods. My athiest home which would no dought horrify you was one of love and kindness, filled with laughter and the desire to do good things. My parents were and are very involved in community activities as am I. The comments I read on these pages seem to be fillied with a hatred of any whose belief may be different from the writers. a very sad reflection, although in the main a true one of the intolerance demonstrated by all religions.

    “come the revolution”

  106. 106 Michael

I was appalled by your media release ” Abortion Laws to Blame for Bushfires?”

I have nothing but respect for the practical compassionate Christians from the Salvation Army I have seen at work in bushfire recovery. They were not setting out to “spearhead” anything or to make grandiose claims but just to do what needed to be done for suffering people.

On the other hand I am puzzled and shocked by Pastor Nalliah ‘s weird claim of a god sent dream that in his hind sight predicted god would burn 210 or more random individuals to death along with a couple of churches because some other individuals voted a change to Victoria’s abortion laws.

The question mark in the media release title is utterly disingenuous. Do you mean what you say or not?

    Pray for Pastor Nalliah indeed!!

    michael evans

  107. 107 woskos

dear pastor danny keep continuing to speak what the lord is saying and putting inside your heart. because the church
of this day and time and dispensation. wants a watered down gospel . they want a don’t touch me and tell me, what i
want to hear gospel. and it is too late in the day for that kind of gospel.

the 5 fold ministry in the church NEEDS TO SPEAK AND PROPHESY WHAT THE HEART OF GOD IS SAYING.
NOT WHAT THEY WANT TO SAY. ALL YOU HEAR ABOUT EVERY YEAR WHEN THE NEW YEAR COMES
IN IS MINISTERS TALKING ABOUT BEING RICH, TALKING ABOUT THIS. IS YOUR SEASON AND TIME AND DESTINY.

JUST ABOUT EVERY PERSON YOU HEAR ABOUT IN SOME AREAS OF THE WORLD. ALL THEY TALK ABOUT IS PROSPERITY….
NOTHING IS WRONG WITH PROSPERING. BUT GOD DID NOT TELL US TO CHASE AFTER WEALTH.
HE SAID TO SEEK THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND THESE THINGS WOULD BE ADDED.

AND IT LOOKS LIKE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO ADD THINGS AND DO THINGS THAT GOD IS NOT PLEASED WITH.
THIS IS THE REAL TRUTH. GOD’S JUDGEMENT IS HIS MERCY. DO YOU KNOW WHY?

BECAUSE SOMETIMES GOD CAN KEEP DEALING WITH A PERSON OR PERSONS, AND NATIONS. AND THEY KEEP REJECTING THE SPIRIT OF GOD. Psalm 9:17, The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
GOD IS A LOVING GOD. HE DOESN’T WISH THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH BUT COME TO REPENTANCE. GOD CAN KEEP KNOCKING ON THE DOOR OF A MAN’S HEART, AND THEY JUST SIMPLY REFUSE TO REPENT AND TURN FROM THEIR WICKEDNESS.
THEY KEEP IGNORING THE SPIRIT OF GOD. WARNING COMES BEFORE DESTRUCTION… WE SHOULD ALWAYS PRAY FOR THE LOST . AND INTERCEDE FOR THEM. ASKING GOD FOR MERCY ON THEIR SOULS SO THAT THEY DON’T DIE IN THEIR SINS.
PROVERBS 14:12- THERE IS A WAY THAT SEEMS RIGHT TO A MAN. BUT THE END IS DESTRUCTION.
GOD’S SPIRIT WILL NOT STRIVE WITH MEN ALWAYS- genesis 6:3

IN THIS LIFE YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW. GOD DOES ALLOW JUDGEMENT TO GET PEOPLES ATTENTION.
TAKE A LOOK AT ISAIAH 26:9-for when thy judgments are in the earth, the INHABITANTS of the world will learn righteousness

WHEN NATIONS CONTINUE TO DISOBEY THE WORD OF GOD OR PEOPLE DISOBEY THE LORD. GOD SENDS
JUDGEMENT TO WAKE THEM UP AND SHAKE THEM. GOD’S JUDGEMENT IS HIS MERCY. IF GOD DIDN’T LOVE PEOPLE
HE COULD OF SENT THEM STRAIGHT TO HELL. WITHOUT GIVING THEM A CHANCE TO REPENT AND TURNAWAY FROM THEIR SIN. THAT IS WHEN GOD IS MERCIFUL AND SENDS JUDGEMENT INSTEAD. BECAUSE OF EVIL PEOPLE NOT WANTING TO REPENT AND THEY END UP GOING TO HELL GRAND STYLE. BUSTING HELL WIDE OPEN WITH THEIR GASOLINE DRAWS ON!!!!!

GOD IS NOT PLAYING WHEN IT COMES TO THE SHEDDING OF INNOCENT BLOOD!! YOU CAN THINK GOD IS SMILLING IN HEAVEN ON THIS ISSUE
OF SHEDING INNOCENT BLOOD, BUT THE REAL TRUTH IS GOD IS ANGRY!!!!

JONAH 3:10- WHEN GOD SAW WHAT THEY DID AND HOW THEY
TURNED FROM THEIR EVIL WAYS. HE RELENTED AND DID NOT BRING ON THEM THE DESTRUCTION HE THREATNENED.

IT’S VERY NICE AND ALL THAT THE SAINTS OF GOD WANT TO GET TOGETHER AND PRAY AND REPENT
FOR THE SINS OF THE NATIONS. OR PEOPLE. YOU CAN PRAY ALL YOU WANT. THE KEY
TO TURNING AWAY GOD’S WRATH OR JUDGEMENT IS FOR PEOPLE TO TURNAWAY FROM DOING SIN.

LOOK AT JONAH 3:10 -WHEN GOD SAW WHAT THEY DID AND HOW THEY
TURNED FROM THEIR EVIL WAYS. HE RELENTED AND DID NOT BRING ON THEM THE DESTRUCTION HE THREATNENED

THE KEY IS TO TURN COMPLETLY AWAY FROM KILLING BABIES, MAKING LAWS TO SHED INNOCENT BLOOD, WHOREMONGING,COMMITING ADULTRY ,FORNICATION,WITCHCRAFT, REBELLION, AND HARDNESS OF HEART. IT’S NOT JUST THE WICKED PEOPLE OF THE WORLD PARTAKING IN THESE SINS.
THE SAINTS IN THE CHURCH ARE LIVING DOUBLE LIFESTYLES TOO. THERE IS GOING TO BE A WHOLE LOT OF SHOCKING EXPOSURES IN THE CHURCH.
I BELIEVE IN THE DAYS TO COME, YOU ARE GOING TO FIND OUT BIG PROMINENT CHURCHES AND PREACHERS ARE GOING TO BE EXPOSED FOR SECRET LIFESTYLES OF HOMOSEXUALITY AND SEXUAL SINS WITH
OTHER CHURCH PEOPLE AND OUTSIDE CONTACTS. YOU ARE GOING TO SEE PEOPLE LEAVING THE CHURCH AND FALLING AWAY, AND TURNING COMPLETLY FROM GOD AND BLASPHEMING.

SO MUCH HAS BEEN HIDDEN BUT IS NOW GOING TO BE COMPLETLY UNCOVERED.
THESE THINGS WHEN IT OCCURS IS GOING TO BE VERY BREATH TAKING AND APPALLING.

GOD WILL RELENT IF THE PEOPLE REPENT. YOU CAN REPENT AND SAY YOU SORRY ALL YOU WANT
BUT ARE YOU TURNING AWAY FROM IT, IF YOU ARE JUST REPENTING WITH YOUR LIPS AND YOUR HEART DOES NOT MEAN IT. YOU ARE IN SERIOUS TROUBLE. WHO DO YOU THINK YOUR FOOLING?

AS LONG AS THEY KEEP PERFORMING ABORTIONS AND PASSING UNGODLY LAWS ON THESE ISSUES JUDGEMENT IS GOING TO KEEP COMING. WE CAN REPENT FOR OUR NATIONS ALL WE WANT. BUT THESE PEOPLE HAVE TO STOP SHEDDING INNOCENT BLOOD. (BABIES BLOOD)!!!

    DO YOU REMEMBER 9-11/
THE PEOPLE STARTED GOING BACK TO CHURCH FOR A FEW WEEKS . AND THEN THEY WENT RIGHT BACK TO LIVING UNGODLY LIFESTYLES. THAT THEY WERE LIVING BEFORE 9-11.
    THINK ABOUT THIS!!!

PEOPLE NEED TO HEAR THE TRUTH, NOT SUGAR COATED LIES. THE BIBLE IS THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE.

AND I ALSO HAVE A COMMENT FOR A LADY ON THIS SIGHT NAME VESTA, THAT MADE A COMMENT
ABOUT THE FIRES AND WHO STARED THEM. YOU CAN READ THE COMMENT VESTA.
RIGHT AFTER YOU GET DONE READING THIS POST. IT’S RIGHT AFTER THIS ONE.

I PRAY GOD RESTORES THE PEOPLE THAT SUFFERED LOST OF LOVE ONE’S AND THAT THEY DRAW NIGH AND CLOSER TO GOD AND NEVER FORSAKE HIM, NO MATTER WHAT!!!

IF YOUR LIVING A LUKEWARM LIFESTYLE OR YOU DON’T HAVE THE LORD IN YOUR LIFE REPENT TURN TO JESUS.
GOD LOVES YOU. AND HE CARES ABOUT YOU. HE LOVES YOU AND DIED FOR YOUR SINS. INVITE JESUS INTO YOUR HEART
    RIGHT NOW.
CONTINUE TO PRAY THAT THE HEART OF MAN WILL TURN BACK TO GOD, PRAY THAT GOD WILL TAKE OUT THE STONEY HEART
AND GIVE THEM A HEART OF FLESH…. 36:26,27- A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

  108. 108 woskos

THIS COMMENT IS FOR VESTA. JUST WANT TO LET YOU KNOW JESUS LOVES YOU .HE WILL ALWAYS.

I JUST WANTED TO MAKE A COMMENT ABOUT YOU SAYING THIS: Fires were delibertly lit by people not By AN Universal Deity wishing to avenge the people… how nasty can you get? and that includes the comments made by people that agree with that comment….
HERE IS A SCIPTURE FROM PROVERBS 17:11- An evil man seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him.
YOU MENTIONED ABOUT THE FIRES THAT SOMEONE STARTED THE FIRES. IF YOU SAY GOD DIDN’T DO THIS
THEN ACCORDING TO PROVERBS 17:11- THE PEOPLE THAT STARTED THE FIRES WERE THE CRUEL MESSENGERS.
AND ACCCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD PROVERBS 17:11 – An evil man seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him.
THE PERSON IN REBELLION ARE THE ABORTIONIST AND THE PEOPLE WHO WHO PASS THESE UNGODLY LAWS, ALL PEOPLE WHO REBEL AGAINST THE LORD.
THE WORD OF GOD SAYS IN PROVERBS 6:16-19 -( These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

6:18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

6:19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren

    JESUS LOVES YOU VESTA!!!

for years i have prayed for God to raise up calebs in this nation as it seems in this nation that most of the attention goes on young people with the belief that they are going to be the ones to change this nation I believe God is going to use the older men who have been through the dealings of the lord to speak out as Pastor Danny has the scripture i got was jeremiah chapter 5 God is looking for someone to speak his heart to the nation we have become so caught up in playing church and speaking of Gods grace thank him for his grace but we have an unbalanced gospel we are not allowed to talk about his judgment thankyou pastor danny for being obedient to the voice of GOD as its says the fear of man brings a snare just as with elijah i believe you can say there are more for me than against me if we as christians dont make a stand for the 100,000 babies that are abortedevery year here in australia who will i pray that other calebs will be bold enough to stand up and declare thus says the lord i will be praying for you as you continue to declare those things that God has saked you to julie

  110. 110 basa

Julie I am not bragging ,but I have written letters to newspapers about the abortions, mardi gras ,violence increasing and all the immorality that is now accepted by the majority on Aussies . I am a 72 year old Aussie and a Christian for 30 years now.

I joined APN some years back but very few turn up to pray.
I hate sin & evil as God wants us to And 2 Chrosnicles 7 v 14 is for us believers .

I had hundreds of letters published in the time I was in my first love ,which I want back, but the pat 20 years secualr new media have very few letters on Christianty published or accepted .
We all need to pray for the secular media nowadays as they are anti Christian mainly,

  111. 111 Pam

People are going into politics, I believe you know some of them, apart from christians praying, they should be witnessing on the inside and change the Gov’t to someone who WONT legalise abortion.

Even John Howard was going to introduce it and gay rights……not just Kevin Rudd

  112. 112 basa

I read the serious word that David Wilkerson of Cross and the Switchblade fame . David is a pastor, prophet loving human being very Christ like and full of compassion.
He gave an URGENT word for America on March 7th 2009 which says in part that God’s wrath is coming upon America, because of their sins. Read below part of the word from Davids website.basa

    Saturday, March 7, 2009
    AN URGENT MESSAGE

I am compelled by the Holy Spirit to send out an urgent message to all on our mailing list, and to friends and to bishops we have met all over the world.

AN EARTH-SHATTERING CALAMITY IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. IT IS GOING TO BE SO FRIGHTENING, WE ARE ALL GOING TO TREMBLE – EVEN THE GODLIEST AMONG US.

For ten years I have been warning about a thousand fires coming to New York City. It will engulf the whole megaplex, including areas of New Jersey and Connecticut. Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires—such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago.

There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide. There will be looting—including Times Square, New York City. What we are experiencing now is not a recession, not even a depression. We are under God’s wrath. In Psalm 11 it is written,

“If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?” (v. 3).

God is judging the raging sins of America and the nations. He is destroying the secular foundations.

The prophet Jeremiah pleaded with wicked Israel, “God is fashioning a calamity against you and devising a plan against you. Oh, turn back each of you from your evil way, and reform your ways and deeds. But they will say, It’s hopeless! For we are going to follow our own plans, and each of us will act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart” (Jeremiah 18:11-12

  113. 113 Keith

This is a direct reply to ‘Israel’, a.k.a. christian activist, as well as the other extremist ‘pro-life’ comments made on this page in response to Danny’s article.

Let me just say how disgusted I am to read such comments as Israel’s who blame the Victorian tragedies on a mere political decision which is promoting basic human rights and freedom of choice. To make such a statement is appalling and as an Australian citizen (I assume) to say that about your fellow countrymen is something that no bible passage can ever excuse. Take a good look at yourself mate and wake up to the real world.

Secondly, for this organisation to promote initiatives against racism and discrimination based on religious beliefs presents a somewhat hypocritical view for beliefs that also seek to suppress human choice (like abortion and homosexuality).

Does everyone understand that a foetus does NOT actually become viable until 24 weeks after conception, but an overwhelming majority of abortions conducted are performed before this stage, therefore to tag it as ‘murder’ is offensive and erroneous. The abortion issue is not a ‘moral’ issue, it is the private (often extremely upsetting) decision of a woman who should have complete control over her life and her body. For people to link the pro-choice position to a horrific natural disaster is despicable. To preach acceptance and love and tolerance, then say that people will ‘burn in hell’ if they do not follow the strict moral creed of your church is completely hypocritical.

Ben and Michael, I agree with you- the intolerance and hatred on this page is a sad, sad representation of ‘Christian values’. If this is what Christianity is, I am very very glad I am not part of it.

  114. 114 Sue morrow

Israel was sent into exile and Gods protection and blerssing was rermoved when they burned their childern to ball. The whole nation even the innocent Daniel. Is abortion any different to burning children? Just because it is not convenient to bring up the child.
I had an abortion and deeply regret it. I believe that what danny was shown is in line with the God of Israel The same yesterday and Today

  115. 115 Rohan

P.S., ben, michael and keith, well done.
what you are saying is exactly right.
to all you christians out there, i’m sorry about my previous comment. i was in a bad mood. i personally dont believe in god at all but i’m not like you, if u wnat to believe in god then go for it. i’m not going to try and impose my beliefs onto you guys. once again sorry for the last comment. :)

  116. 116 AutoInsurances

The site is definitely full of awesome information and is actually really exciting to digest.

    Very well done!
