Four Additional Interesting Articles Regarding Bushfires
12 Comments Published by Office 2 February 27th, 2009 in Australia, Bushfires, Christian Church Issues, Freedom of Religion, PoliticsDear Friends and Family in Christ,
Following are four very interesting articles received out of the hundreds still coming to Catch the Fire Ministries from across Australia and around the world!
The first article is from Peter Kentley.
Comment on Danny Nalliah’s dream of Destruction in Victoria
Comment part a)
My sense is that the first part of the dream looks backwards to killings on the streets of Melbourne, as for example with the King St killings on 18 June 2007. This part of the dream focuses on the outcome of death coming out of ungodly legislation and regulations approving prostitution and table top dancing in Melbourne. These approved behaviours are offensive to God and against his laws and yet they are approved by the state and tolerated by the church. The high danger to society comes when the elected representatives of the people make legal on earth that which is illegal in heaven – in direct defiance of the Lord’s prayer: “Your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heavenâ€â€¦

The second article is from Beverley in Adelaide and was sent to various media editors across Australia.
The Editor,
Dear Sir,
In support of Pastor Danny – he does not belong to a sect as has been suggested in some media.   His is a mainstream Christian church. He has had the courage to speak out what he knows in his heart because he loves God more than the approval of people. He also loves his country. Peter Costello couldn’t afford to agree with him on this issue because the media would have sensationalised it and crucified him – as you well know.  However Christians throughout Australia of all denominational persuasions would in their hearts know what Danny says is true.

The third article is from Andrew in Queensland.
Hello Danny,
We have seen much division within the body of Christ recently over the prophetic dream which you (Danny) had in relation to the Victorian bushfires and the interpretation of the said dream.
It is very sad when the people of our nation cannot acknowledge the murder that is happening in our nation in particular to babies.
It is also very sad when the Christians of our nation are still stuck in apathy and refuse to raise their voices for those who cannot speak up for themselves.
There has also been much speculation in regards to whether or not your dream and interpretation actually was from God. There has also been much speculation as to whether you are really a prophet or not.

The fourth article is from Pastor Lynn Rees and her son Dylan on the Gold Coast
Hi there,
Could you please put us back on the mailing list … our son Dylan, wrote this article and has been preaching along these lines at our church of a Sunday. We did not understand what had happened with the media and Pastor Danny’s comments, but after Dylan did some research, found that, indeed, Pastor Danny had been misrepresented by the media.
Sorry for not looking closer into that – but would love to be back on the mailing list,
In Him,
Pastor Lyn Rees
WORD OF LIFE UPPER COOMERA – GOLD COAST.
Dear friends,
Many of you would be aware of the media criticism directed at Pastor Danny Nalliah following his comments about the tragic bushfires that have claimed so many lives in Victoria. Many have reported that Danny believes the fires to be the judgement of God. While I initially took these media reports at face value, upon closer investigation I think Pastor Danny has correctly attributed the tragic devastation to satan – not God. From what I can see, Danny doesn’t even state that God has removed His protection (as some have reported) but rather that it is our nation that has “walked out” from that protection.

In regards to Pastor Mark Conner’s blog on Pastor Danny’s statement.
Dear Pastor Mark Conner,
You are a great motivational speaker, have unique body language and you are an exceptionally talented pianist.
I realise Pentecostals can be loud at times, but from your blog people though your comments one can easily detect you are expressing a subtle undertone of your utter distain towards Pentecostals.
I am not Pentecostal, nor a member of Catch the Fire. I have visited Revival meetings and witness Ps. Danny’s sincere love for Australia and Australians. I’ve witnessed him he cried out in tears on his knees, begging God for mercy over our nation during the time of the abortion legislation, and on various numerous other occasions. I have witnessed the power of the Holy Ghost healing the sick, freeing the oppressed and restoring marriages and healing people from emotional problems.
If it weren’t for Pastor Danny it would have been illegal to share the gospel with people in public, but he alone stood up fought for the future of our country.
Where were you at that time, or during the time of the abortion bill?
Were you doing nothing in the background, because you don’t care, or because it doesn’t affect your ‘church / synagogue?’
If not, then why don’t you tell everyone what you did do to oppose the legalisation of abortion?
Why don’t you tell all the readers on your bog, what you have done to prevent abortion? If people saw pictures of, and realised the evil graphic wanton violence involved in abortion, they would be sickened, grieved and recognize the urgent call for repentance.
http://www.abortionno.org/Resources/pictures.html
A man of your position must know, so please inform us of your stand against it, and what the outcome was. I didn’t see you outside parliament house pleading Gods mercy, or taking a stand against murder of innocent babies. And you represent the biggest church in VIC.
So what did you do in the background?
Please tell us the truth?
Where your treasure is there your heart is also. To fear God is to hate evil. Not condone it, so did contend for the faith, or just turn a blind eye and condone it…
Why do you try and pacify your congregations by telling them it’s a season of favour. The simple may believe your words, but the wise and prudent (who know the scriptures) observe the signs and times. People who are mature Christians, possessing the ability to discern good from evil. (Heb 5:13,14)
Did you even tell your congregations to take a stand and contend for the faith, what is right in God’s eyes, and according to His word?
Or did you turn a blind eye and disregard such vital political matters, just as long as you get what you need for your church, stuff Australia, and it’s future generations?
So you are in no position to Danny down, or insinuate that he is a false prophet. He is a sincere God fearing, people loving, humble gentleman. Nobody is perfect, except Jesus Christ.
You said:
Avoid throwing judgment and GUILT on people in their time of need.
GUILT is a result of quenched conviction, which is an indication of condemnation.
Condemnation is a result of not walking in the spirit, according to Romans 8:1 KJV (& in the original Greek translation).
And the condemnation would be felt by the believers who didn’t respond to the plea of 2 Chronicles 7:13-14, as this passage refers to God’s people repenting, not the unbelievers.
Do you feel guilty?
Ps. Mark you wrote:
Final rewards and punishments are not given out in this life.
Danny didn’t say the fire was a final punishment. So this makes your statement incoherent.
According to the bible, rewards and punishments ARE given in this lifetime, as well as final judgments and results of our choices. Read Deuteronomy 28.
* 1 John 5:7-10 proves that your statement was unbiblical and incorrect, contradicting the word of God. Such claims and teachings are known as Heresies. (See Galatians 5 on the consequences of any person who practises false teaching, also known as heresy.)
*1 John 5:7-10
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. 9 If we receive the witness of men, the WITNESS OF GOD IS GREATER: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. 10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
Contradicting the word of god, is contradicting Jesus Christ, and denying him.
If you think that 1 John 5:9 doesn’t apply in the context to your statement, then consider John 1:1, and Revelation 19:13
Revelation 19:13 “And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.†(Referring to Jesus)
If you still don’t understand the connection, maybe ask your dad he will explain it to you. (It is a shame how the apples sometimes fall far from the tree)
And don’t misunderstand this and say, oh but the Old Testament (Deut 28) doesn’t apply to us anymore…
If the OT doesn’t apply, then the 10 commandments don’t either. Nor does Psalm 23, 91, 121. (Sarcasm intended) Nor do all the blessings, or creation on that matter. So the truth is the NT is a revelation of the OT, and they BOTH still apply to us as believers.
FACT:
God didn’t destroy the whole nation, or the entire state of VIC. He possibly removed his hand of protection, allowing Satan to DESTROY. Possibly God’s trying to warn people of his disapproval and grief over the decriminalisation of abortion, and to awaken the sleeping dogs (pastors), and so that the church may take God seriously again.
Regarding Prayerlessness: (Brackets are the interpretation/meaning)
Isaiah 56:10-12
10 His watchmen (Pastors & Intercessors) are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark (discern or foresee danger); sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber (Luke warm, carnal, apathetic). 11 Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds (Pastors) that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter (Lets get all we need for our church and who gives a whip about the death of innocent babies, or Australia’s future, as long as we have got what we need for the moment). 12 Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine (lets have fun activities and musical performances, entertaining the body of Christ), and we will fill ourselves with strong drink (disregard the full gospel, selective obedience); and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant. (Assuming all will be well, but Jesus will return like a thief in the night)
You Said:
Is God judging our State of Victoria? God told Abraham that he would even spare Sodom and Gomorrah if their but a few righteous people in the city.
FACT: God totally destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah he didn’t totally destroy VIC. So don’t confuse the matter. It may seem like you are trying to make Ps. Danny look like he implied there were no righteous people in VIC, which he DID NOT. Did you personally consult him on the matter before belittling him and implying he’s a false prophet? You don’t even know him personally. Besides, be careful what you say about prophets, because if he is appointed by God as a prophet, you may be in grave danger and will be held accountable for it. (see Hosea 4) Especially if you influence multitudes to believe your opinion.
You said:
This is not the day of God’s judgment.
Inferring that Pastor Danny said that, when Danny didn’t say this was the day of God’s judgment.
You Said:
Like Job, we have to learn to accept both good and trouble from God, then trust in his providence (Job 2:9-10).
FACT: God withdrew his hand of protection from Job, when Satan challenged God that Job would turn against God. So Satan was granted that right to attack, rob kill and destroy from Job. In Job’s case it was for a test, not a punishment. Trouble does not come from God; at certain times God allows it. Jesus came to give life and more abundantly, the devil comes to rob, kill and destroy. So don’t confuse the devils evil works, as acts of God. Re-study Job the entire book in context, before you make blatantly outrageous claims, especially since you are in a position of significant influence over many people.
God cannot do evil, even his judgments are good, disagree than (check the bible thoroughly for yourself) One example Psalm 119:39 Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good.
Maybe you need to apply 2 Timothy 2:15, lest you be ashamed by your lack of knowledge of God’s word. In the New Testament approval for ministry or credentials comes from the Holy Spirit, not from man, credentials from a bible college. Yet unfortunately nowadays men have re-arrange God’s divine plan for ordination. (See 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy)
2 Timothy 2:15
Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Study the word of God, not the doctrines of men, or theological and man-made structures that are deemed necessary for the government to approve Bible College as an Austudy funded course, or what ever…
FACT:
Even though we are in the Dispensation of Grace, in the New Testament, The bible clearly says believers can still abuse it, and fail the grace of God.
Heb 12:15 “Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;â€
You Said:
We are in a season of favour?
The world is in a financial crisis, and you say we are in a season of favour? Drought and bushfires, abortion legalised, unemployment skyrocketing, fear and loss of security to families regarding their futures.
Read Amos. Just because a church is growing, and prospering financially (church likened to the kingdom mentioned in Amos) it does NOT mean all is well, and God is pleased. That’s why God sent his prophet to warn the people… you should check Amos out again, we can never stop learning.
As someone earlier pointed out…
In Danny’s post he indicates the removal of Gods protection particularly over the state of Victoria. I think a true prophetic voice warns Gods people of coming events before they happen, such as in the book of Acts 11:27 When a prophet warned of a coming famine over the whole world.
ADVISE for ALL CHRISTIANS:
If you take Christianity seriously, and want to be sure of your salvation and really know Jesus intimately, it is absolutely vital that you are being taught the full truth of the bible, so whenever your taught a message from your local pastor please, consider Acts 17:11
“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, to see or confirm whether those things were so.â€
A proverb says… “The simple believe every word, but the prudent look well into his way.”
Jesus said “Narrow is the way that leads to life, and few there are that find it.”
So please be careful what who you believe, and allow to influence or persuade your beliefs. Our guide must be in line with the bible. Not man’s opinions. The Holy Spirit will never contradict the word of God. For it is better to trust in God than to put confidence in man, and in the end times many shall fall away from the faith, and be deceived.
Col 2:4,5-8
4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. 6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught (taught by the word of God), abounding therein with thanksgiving. 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
God’s will be done and His Kingdom come, for Jesus glory!
May God’s grace and mercy be upon you Ps. Mark

I want to share an interesting revelation that i had concerning this matter. It has perplexed me and led me to much research and (a little) discussion with fellow believers. I say “a little” discussion because the mention of PS Danny in most situations leads to raised blood pressures for some and invariably uncomforatable silence.
I was asking the Holy Spirit for His perspective while driving yesterday, particularly in the light of the fact that we have 80,000 abortions each year here in Australia. The Lord had me pull over and divide that figure by the number of days in the year on my calculator. The result is 219. I sat there, on the side of a busy road, stunned. Now, I’m unsure of the current official death toll from the Victorian fires, but it is somewhere in excess of 210. At the risk of drawing pictures to labour a point, that means that every day in Australia, we have a black Saturday. Every day, 219 Australians die in a catstrophic event, yet we don’t hear much more than a murmur about it, certainly not the national outpouring of grief and generosity that we are seeing after these tragic fires.
A friend of mine who lives in the US is proposing a Red Envelope campaign where they encourage fellow Americans to send 55 million red envelopes to the White House, representing the number of abortions preformed in the USA since 1973… with a quote from Obama’s recent speech at the Washington prayer breakfast: “I don’t know of any god who condones the killing of innocent people”, written on the back. I think we should do the same: 80,000 red envelopes to the Prime Minister’s office would make a point abut where we stand on abortion in this country.
blessings,
mike.

I was saddened to find out that my Pastor read a statement from CRC leadership distancing themselves from you on account of your statements about the Vic Bushfires and God’s wrath.
BE VERY ENCOURAGED YOU MIGHTY WARRIOR!
Read Judges chapter 6 and more about Gideon. Stay as a minority and let God be glorified more. The power of the masses is an illusion. (Im talking about Gideon’s 300)
I am sorry for the heavyness, but my closest friend in Marysville has lost everything, home, business, and 50 people he loves, as he is the local postman, and a christian.
I still feel it could have been avoided, but no-one listened to a little old man by the name of Noah, and everyone drowned. You give the warnings, but nobody listens, it’s horrible.
Thanks for all your prayers, I still support your ministry.

Pray, fast and cast out the demon of human sacrifice
Archbishop Luke Orombi
Brothers and sisters,
A schoolgirl is beheaded; a toddlers genitals are cut off; a lady goes for an evening out, never to return! Think of the girls classmates. How about the mother of the boy who will grow up with no manhood! And then the man who hoped one day to marry the now missing lady. There is a cry in our land.
Our beloved country Uganda is weeping, grieving for the innocent lives of countless people – including children – who have needlessly lost their lives at the hands of wicked people in pursuit of selfish ambition and money. There is greed, corruption, and an inhuman thirst to spill innocent blood.
This cry is so loud, that we the church regardless of denomination are together declaring a nationwide campaign against this evil of witchcraft and human sacrifice. We are unequivocal in our strong condemnation of this depraved practice, which not only defiles the sanctity of human life, but also reveals the extent to which the core of our society is degenerating owing to greed, godlessness, and moral corruption.
Brothers and sisters, this must stop. We the church, have a burden to repent and renounce the greed, corruption, and selfish ambition that plague our nation, and which have precipitated the evil of human sacrifice by those who practice witchcraft and mistakenly regard it as a means to quick wealth.
After all, we have been warned that: For the love of money is a root of all kinds if evil 1 Timothy 6:10
Human sacrifice is evil and demonic. It is clearly a spiritual problem, which needs a spiritual solution. The demons that demand the blood of the innocent of our land must be silenced, cast out, and destroyed so that our beloved country will be cleansed of this evil and healed thereafter.
But – only a repentant, praying church will have the power to accomplish this urgent and important assignment. Second Chronicles chapter 7 and verse 14 says:
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land
For this reason, we the church have decided to rise together in a nationwide prayer and fasting campaign, under the theme, Weeping for Ugandas Children who are no more (Jeremiah 31:15), in which we shall lift up one voice in prayers of repentance on behalf of our land, asking God to forgive our nation and heal our land.
The 40-day campaign, which for some churches is the period of Lent, will formally begin on Wednesday, February 25, 2009, and Christians are encouraged to identify families affected by human sacrifice in their communities, so that the church can minister to them. We shall also pray for our leaders, so that God will grant them wisdom as they tackle this challenge.
We, the leaders of all Christian denominations are, therefore, requesting that all pastors sensitise their congregations about the impending prayer and fasting campaign, and to mobilise them to join in. The campaign will also be in newspapers, posters and fliers, on radio and TV, and through telephones via SMS messages. We believe that the vice of human sacrifice can be erased from our land, For nothing is impossible with God Luke 1:37.

Dear Friends at Catch the Fire,
I have appreciated what has been happening in relation to Danny, and how God has used him lately, both in relation to the Victorian situation,
and the broader Australian scene.
Kind regards in Jesus’ Name,
Andrew
Billy Graham’s prayer for our nation:
‘Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, ‘Woe to those who call evil good,’ but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!’

Dear Danny and CTF Ministries,
In the wake of much critisism I am hearing agianst you, I want to send an encouragement to you to keep speaking Gods thoughts to our Nation as
God directs you. I know you dont always get it right, but we do need to recognize the truth of what God (not the media) is saying to us (test
everything) to avoid further removing of Gods blessings – the ignoring of Gods warnings is more scarry than anything else and grieving to His
Spirit and mine. Bless you and know there are many who are supportive of your words and ministry, and are praying for you and more importantly
for our Nation that we would turn from our wicked ways – as the Church we need to take responsibility for our own inactions and the
consequences of that, and pray we may see a return of Gods favour to the land. From your brother and fellow servant of the Lord,
Geoff
Thank you Pastor Danny for what you are doing. If one thing God is looking for, he is looking for those who would rise up and defy all odds and voice what comes from his throne. I am praying for you and your ministry and it is my prayer that you will find comfort in His unfailling arms during this trying times.
God will not back off with what He says; If the Victorian government does not change it’s stance on abortion and they should brace themselves for more hard times. God is God and never bows down to any man so I believe that if one thing we should be praying for right now is that those who are in leadership should bow themselves to the will of God.
Together for His Kingdom.

All
The main problem I have is the certainty with which the Pastor (and others) attribute certain events to human action. I don’t want to get drawn on the topics of abortion, the perception of the immoral youth of today and so forth – everyone has a stand on those issues and cases can be made one way or another.
But why is it that, when a natural disaster happens, you people are so very certain that it *must* be attributed to the wrath of God for a very specific previous human failure? Even if I charitably allow that this is the wrath of God, or encroachment by Satan, how do you know for certain that it is attributable to that *specific* human failure you outline? Where are you getting that information from?
And before you consider a response, note that I really don’t accept the argument, ‘isn’t it obvious?’. If you want to causally link events together, the burden of proof is on you to show that they are related. So evasive answers or the deferral of the question back to me will not suffice.
The reason why the Pastor’s words caused such resentment is that atheists like myself generally don’t subscribe to his faulty logic of causality. We don’t see any reason why abortion laws and bushfires are related. Under normal circumstances this doesn’t annoy us, because we treat the spectacular failure of reason as harmless comedy. But in this case, the timing was all wrong.
The pastor should be reminded that whilst his interest group may believe – and genuinely believe – that this is God’s wrath (or letting Satan get a foot in the door, as the case may be) there are lots of people who simply do not share that view. He thinks we are missing a big lesson – whereas we think he is indoctrinated and delusional. Ignoring who is right or wrong, he must accept that this division exists.
Free speech of course – but please try to understand that many people do not think like you and will be upset by your words, especially the timing of them.
